“Did you miss me?” Carl brandished a smile and waved Kennedy’s cell phone in one hand. He sat down at the head of the table. “This smells delicious. Pass me that fruit plate. I’m famished.” CHAPTER 23 Half an hour and two more banana muffins later, Kennedy’s body reminded her how exhausted she was from the events of the past twenty-four hours.
