Carter stepped into the elevator and pushed the button for the top floor. He adjusted the sleeves of his white button down, playing with his silver cufflinks. He ran his hands along his cool grey toned suit coat and buttoned one of the buttons. He took a deep breath and checked his hair in the mirror on the ceiling as the elevator stopped.
The doors slid open, and Carter walked into the office and was met with complete chaos. Employees ran around and the phones were incessantly ringing off the hook. He looked at the woman at the front desk and she jumped and ran around the desk to hand him a hoard of messages.
