Chapter 3: “Content”

“Do you also need pillows?” I asked Avery while reaching for a bed sheet cover

“Oh, right! Yes please” She replied

“Okay, here you go” I said while putting the pillows and bedsheet in the cart.

“Gage” Avery called me softly. I was walking in front of her

“Yeah?” I stopped pushing the cart and looked at her

“Uhm… I’m just wondering if you are familiar with cameras and related stuff?” She asked while avoiding eye contact

“Well, a little” I answered

“Uhm…Can I ask for your help?” She asked

“About?” I asked her back

“Well, uhm… I just made a youtube channel last year when I was in Canada, and I forgot to bring my old equipments with me so I was hoping if you know where I can buy new ones?” She explained

“No s**t? You have a youtube channel? What’s the name of your channel?” I asked as I grabbed my phone and opened youtube. No way! No s**t! I can’t believed that she has a youtube channel at the same, I’m excited to see what kind of content she’s doing.

“Oh no, no, no…Please don’t look it up. Huyyyy…” She covers her face while reaching for my hand. So cute.

“Come on, I just want to see” I said while smiling at her

“Hu hu… I’m embarrassed” she said while making a face, acting like she’s crying.

“No need to be embarrassed, come on now, tell me” I slyly said

“Okayyy” she looked down and sighed then she looked at me “It’s H-Hon-neySp-ace” she shyly answers.

I searched HoneySpace and a channel appeared in the searches. I clicked a video and watched her cooking? She’s cooking without saying anything but she has subtitles.

I looked at her and she covered her face as she’s embarrassed I think.

“Wonderful contents, HoneySpace” I said to her while scrolling to her videos. She has a 142k subscribers. Make that 143k as I clicked the subscribe button.

“Stop it, I’m dying here” she said while still covering her face

“It really is” I replied “I know a place where you can buy what you need for you vlogs” I added

She looked at me “Really?” she asked “T-Thank you”

I chuckled and pushed the cart. She put a single nordic bed frame with 3 pull out drawers in the bottom, a single mattress, a nordic study table with chair, 10L mini fridge for her skincare products at least that was she said, an arch frameless body mirror, modern bedroom wall lamps, blankets, bed covers, pillows, rugs, linen spray, spray bottle, forks, spoons, plates, extension cord, hangers, hamper, cloth rack, and the list goes on. Actually this is our 3rd cart.

“So do you still need something?” I asked her in case there’s still something that she missed.

“I don’t think I did cause I only have the bed frame and mattress in mind.” She replied.

“So, ready to check out?” I asked

“Yes please” she replied

I pushed the cart to the counter that has the other 2 carts that we had earlier. As we’re checking out I asked Avery to get a toothbrush holder, she gladly complied and said that she will not take long. Well I doubt that but I know that if she stayed here she won’t let me pay for these stuffs. I at least owe it to her for giving her a bare room

“Your total is 3,257.50, how would you like to pay for it?” The lady in the counter asked

“F-Fo-und it” Avery said while gasping for air and hands me over the toothbrush holder

“Are you okay?” I asked while getting the toothbrush holder in her hands “Can you add this too, I’ll pay using by card” I added

“Huh?!” Avery looked at me and looked at the lady in the register

“Your total now is 3,280.75” the lady in the register said. I handed my card over to her “Thank you for shopping with IKEA” the lady said and gave back my card along with the receipt

“Oh no, why did you pay for my stuff. I’ll wire the payment to your account. Where can I wire it?” Avery said while quickly browsing her phone

I looked at her “It’s okay just think of it as a welcoming gift and a price to pay for my stupidity and gave you a bare room” I said and pushed the carts out.

“Nooooo, it’s fair to you because it’s my stuff and it costs too much, I can’t accept it as a gift.” She said while still on her phone

“Well if you really want to pay me back, you can buy me this camera at the shop that we’re heading now” I said and showed her a picture of the cam

“It just costs $500, I still owe you $2,000+” she said

“Well you can pay for the grocery and dinner” I replied while trying to fit all of the things she bought in my vehicle.

“I can do that. It’s a deal” she replied and helped me put her stuffs inside. “Anyway, why do you need that camera for? I hope you don’t mind if I asked that.” She asked

“Well… I also have a Youtube account and I guess and also it’s like investing with my career I guess” I answered

“What?! Why you didn’t say so earlier! What’s your channel?” Avery asked excitedly

“Well I just followed you earlier” I replied “It’s RightClick no space”

Avery scrolled and she gasped and made a shocking expression then looked at me. “You have a lot of audience. Wow! It’s an honor to meet you Sir RightClick” She said while still scrolling.

“Oooh I was planning to play this game too. Was it good?” She asked and showed me a video of mine while playing the OUTDOORS. It’s a horror game with 300 levels.

“I still haven’t finished it but it’s really good” I replied while stocking the last item in the cart. Avery intently looked at her phone and keep on scrolling. “Shall we hit the road?” I asked.

Avery just nodded and walked in the shotgun seat while still intently looking at her phone. I just chuckled and put her seat belt on. I think she was caught off guard and looked at me “Safety first” I said and put mine too. I started the engine

“T-Thanks again” she said. “I’ll cook dinner tonight as a payment for your kindness. I really appreciate what you’ve done for me today.”

“You’re welcome, and I’ll be looking forward for tonight’s dinner.” I replied and smiled at her.
