9 Dreams in Transit I AM WALKING ON A PATH through the woods, beneath a full moon. The path keeps changing, for a few paces it is dirt, and suddenly it changes beneath my foot to cobblestone. It is some sort of pavement now, and the mist or fog that surrounds me ebbs and flows about me. I know by these things that I dream, but there is an air of meaning to it. Ahead of me, a figure walks down the path toward me. As he draws near, I see that he is the man who I once was. He smiles, He waves, and then he is passed. I look back to see him, but the mists have hidden him once more. I return once more to the rhythm of my steps. I walk for days, and yet the silvered moon never sets, nor does the sun rise.
