IT IS SEPTEMBER 26, 2178, and we are on final approach to the third planet of the Alpha Centauri A system, officially designated Alpha Centauri Ac. We have confirmed by spectral analysis that the planet has a standard earth atmosphere with plant life and a slightly higher than earth standard oxygen content. Opticals came in 'yesterday' that confirmed a worldwide jungle environment, and the workers labeled the planet Jungle.
The planet is right in the middle of the Goldilocks zone at a distance from its G2 primary of 1.6 A.U. and is about 1.05 times the mass of Earth.
