I returned to my work after speaking with Seily on the phone. I didn't want my coworkers to believe that I was being careless with my duties because of Richard. I wanted to prove to them that I was competent in my role and that I was capable of more for the benefit of the company.
I can still recall Richard inviting me to have lunch with him in his office, so I immediately cleared my table and went to see him. He didn't respond when I knocked again, so I pushed the door open and saw him standing there looking vacantly.
