The morning light spills into our cozy apartment, and I’m already buzzing with energy. Today is a special day… Ben is picking us up for a trip to the park, where there’s an early spring fair. I can already hear the sounds of laughter and excitement in my mind, and it fills me with a sense of joy. I have been so busy lately, and I really need a break.
“Mommy! Can we go now?” Alexander’s voice breaks through my thoughts. He’s bouncing on the couch, his little face alight with anticipation.
“Just a few more minutes, buddy,” I call back, tying my hair into a messy bun. I glance around the living room, making sure everything is in order before we head out. I want today to be perfect… a break for both of us, especially after the busy launch weeks.
