I’m standing here, completely captivated by Helene. She’s like a burst of color in a black-and-white world, and every part of me is drawn to her. Her laughter dances through the air, and it feels like the entire ballroom fades away. I can hardly believe my eyes.
“Helene,” I breathe, still processing her presence. “I can’t believe you’re back. Where have you been?”
