Lucien's POV: I carried her straight into my chambers, and laid her on the big sofa. She was still unconscious reeking of filth. I stared at her face scornfully like I was going to stab her if I'm given the opportunity to. "Why did I even bring you to my chambers? Shouldn't I have just left this stupid slave to die in the hands of Emery? Why do I care whether she lives or not?" I continued questioning myself, but got no answers. I was also reeking of filth after carrying her on my back, and I couldn't take the stench. Furthermore, I walked straight to the bathroom for a shower.
