When Ushar’s sight cleared up, he found himself on dark, swampy place with the ground covered in floating green moss but for some reason, the ground beneath his feet felt solid.
Looking around, Ushar could see he was in fact, standing on a large tree root which was well above the wet ground.
Raising a brow in realization, he walked towards the tree truck while muttering, “now, where the hell is Aria? we came in here together.” He said with a frown, looking around once again but Aria was nowhere to be found.
He wondered if the girl had somehow stepped out at the last instant but that did not seem likely. For a moment, Ushar was confused about what to do. He did know where the portal that led out of this place was, as it was included in Linda’s map but he certainly wasn’t leaving until he had searched every nook and cranny of this place and became sure that Aria hadn’t come in with him.
In a blur, he moved up the large tree and soon, he was sitting on its branch while looking into the sky. It was night in this place but Ushar understood that this was another planet entirely – it would not have the same day and night cycle as the earth.
“At least it is night, that’s something to be grateful for. Now, I should check up on the system.” He muttered before summoning the system’s interface.

“Well, things are evening out now aren’t they, but still, my agility remains top priority.” Ushar muttered with a satisfied smile. He could already feel his muscles twitching as they turn more powerful.
“Damn, I really need blood whenever these stats upgrade are happening.” He muttered looking around when his eyes suddenly caught something on the tree, “wow, what a strange fruit and it actually smells great.” Ushar muttered as he stood on the tree branch before walking towards fruit hanging quite high up on the tree.
In fact, there wasn’t just one of them but numerous fruits, all with different colors though the red ones caught his attention.
Ushar jumped deftly, cutting the fruit stalk with a finger and catching it before it could fall down.
Digging his teeth into it, he was mystified to find out the fruit actually tasted like fresh blood, and it flesh also had a meaty texture.
After consuming a couple more of the fruits, Ushar felt complete and he looked into the distance from the top of the branch. A few hundred meters around this tree was devoid of any other life except for fungus but beyond, Ushar could see a dense forest.
“It’s time to act.” He muttered before leaping off the tree and Ushar covered almost a hundred meters distance in one leap, landing inside the green swamp and causing a great splash as he found himself buried up to the knees.
“Well, I will just have to move through this.” He muttered walking on but below the muddy water, Ushar could feel several hard substances scraping against his legs, and he eventually dug one out to see a decaying bone.
“Useless.” He muttered before throwing the bone away and walking on.
Ushar finally stepped into hard ground with trees all around him before he suddenly heard a low hiss and then, two green eyes stared at him through the darkness, in between then were tiny black slits.
A Monster!
This was the very reason Ushar had come into the monster dimension, to hunt monsters like this for their life core. The snake-like creature actually possessed a single pair of leg which shot forwards in an instant but with a single swipe of Ushar’s hand, the monster’s head was parted in two and it collapsed to the ground.

Ushar grinned on seeing this before searching through the beast head, he eventually found what he was looking for – A round green crystal as thick as his thumb. According to Linda, this was a life core which was absolutely needed to make the synthetic blood just like human blood. Ushar could not help sigh, he hadn’t brought any bag along since the plan was that Aria would transport everything, now, he could just have to find a secure place to hide all his spoils, while he looked for her.

[Kill a supreme monster: Monsters exist in different power level with the weakest being Basic tier monsters. They are followed by Intermediate tier monsters, Advanced tier monsters, Supreme tier monsters, Horde Kings and finally, Abominations.]
Ushar stiffened slightly on seeing this, a whole four tier, but still he didn’t think there would be much difference in their power levels. If killing one basic tier monster could give him five stat points, he imagined how strong he would become by killing hundreds of them or hundreds of even higher tiers.

“Uh, I guess it doesn’t work on dead creatures.” Ushar muttered, he had actually just tried to look the snake-like beast’s stat.
