“Uh, is this where she lives?” Linda asked in wonder, as Ushar put her down in front of a gigantic skyscraper.
“It is,” he replied, looking toward the house with a pondering expression.
“I actually thought she would have some kind of antisocial personality, this looks like a place holding hundreds of people.” Linda muttered, surprised.
“Well, your thoughts are on point then. She lives alone, unless big floating balls that shoot death rays aren’t considered people anyways.” Ushar commented, shrugging.
“Uh, whatever, how do we get in?” Linda asked and Ushar sighed, “Actually, the first and only time I went in that place, I broke in and was well… welcomed with a shower of lasers. However, that girl wasn’t even half as scary as she is today, I wouldn’t want to get in a fight.” Ushar answered with a nervous chuckle.
“And that is good for you.” Both suddenly heard a voice speak from behind and Linda turned back, startled.
Behind her, she could see the same silver-haired lady they had come for.
“I was wondering for how long you were going to watch before welcoming us, your guests.” Ushar said, not in the slightest surprised as he turned back towards the girl as well.
“Why are you here?” Aria asked, her face cold face as she ignored Linda, looking straight at Ushar.
“Well, we or rather, I need your help.” Ushar replied.
“Help, for what?” Aria asked again.
“Well, I need to infiltrate the presidential villa and abduct the president. I feel you might be able to help greatly and in return, I will owe you a favour.” Ushar said.
“I doubt a dead man’s favour could amount to much.” Aria spoke with expressionless face before adding, “What is your plan?”
“But… err, what did you say?” He asked unsure of what the girl’s words meant.
“You are planning to infiltrate the Presidential Villa. I would like to know what the plan is.” Aria repeated and Ushar frowned for a moment before turning towards Linda, “err… what is the plan?” he asked the lady who shook her head with a resigned smile.
“We should discuss over a drink or two, don’t you think so, Aria?” she asked, looking at the silver-haired girl whose face scrunched for a moment.
“Actually, you don’t have to be wary of me. I understand we might have some ugly history and I am really sorry for drugging you to sleep. Actually, I have a very great present to show how sincere I am with this apology.” Linda said, looking at Aria who raised a brow. “You don’t seem eager to see the present but that is okay, you will like it once I give you.” Linda spoke on with a chuckle before grabbing Ushar’s arm by the side.
“Hey, what are you doing?” Ushar asked with a frown, looking at Linda who put a hand on her lips, motioning for him to stay quiet before turning toward Aria.
“I have thought over and over about this and eventually decided that both of you might actually just be the perfect couple. Hence, I present to you, Ushar, his heart longs for your acceptance and I am actually pumped up to be at your wedding soon since you both might just be the most OP couple ever.” Linda said, before pushing Ushar toward Aria who seems to be frozen in place.
The push was weak, at least for Ushar, but he did not even try to resist it as he staggered towards Aria. His hand involuntarily opened, enveloping her in a hug and he stiffened, looking into her wide eyes in dread but also euphoria.
He could feel her skin against his, it was the softest he ever felt, also possessing a strange warmth which even his vampire heart could not reject.
From her hair, a rich, sweet and creamy fragrance hit his senses and Ushar felt the urge to bury his face in it. His gaze trailed her features, those slightly arched brows, her flawless face which was frozen in shock, her silver eyes which stared up into his eyes. He just could not wrap his head around the fact that such perfection was allowed to exist, he wanted to make her his own, forever.
His face lowered more into hers when Aria’s eyes suddenly fluttered and she pushed Ushar away, retreating rapidly.
Ushar could hear her beating rapidly as her cheeks turned red as tomatoes, the girl was visibly flustered as she had never expected this strange turn of events.
“Hey, that was a mis…” before he could finish his speech however, the girl had disappeared from the place and Ushar stared at where she had been before sighing.
“I guess we pissed her off,” he said, turning back to Linda who chuckled. In fact, every single action she had taken in front of Aria were carefully calculated, she had suggested them came to Aria not only because she was the least likely person to sell them out in the whole world but also because Linda wanted to know more about the woman who had captured Ushar’s Earth.
Even so however, she had to make Aria comfortable with her so she acted like she did not have anything for Ushar and she was absolutely sure the young lady would fall for it.
“I doubt it.” She eventually replied Ushar before something suddenly caught their attention. From the side, a door parted and the two exchanged gazes.
“You know what to do when a door opens right? And no more sick plays.” A voice spoke from behind the door and there, they could see Aria standing, her face returned to its normal coldness.
“Ah! Certainly.” Ushar said, walking into the house along with Linda and the door closed back behind them.
“What is this place?” Linda muttered, in surprise looking at various machinery around, several metallic parts were also strewn around the ground as if blasted apart by some forces, “did a fight happen in here or what?” she asked, looking at Aria who in turn glared at Ushar.
“Uh, I guess a fight did happen.” He replied with an apologetic smile.
“It wasn’t exactly a fight if you think about it. It was actually someone breaking into a girl’s house, causing several damages and then abducting the girl. You should be remorseful and even make reparations, Ushar.” Aria said and Ushar stiffened for a moment.
Ushar wasn’t sure if he was imagining things but somehow, the sound of his name on Aria’s lips sent a different feeling through his heart, it was like another milestone in his life had just been crossed now.
“Indeed, you should make reparations Ushar. What do you have to offer her?” Linda asked with a cheeky smile and Ushar got a grip on himself.
“Well, what do I have? Nothing.” Ushar said shrugging.
“Duh, you still have your body and soul right, you could dedicate your body to her service for life.” Linda commented while examining a teddy bear by the side.
“Uh, I guess, I could.” Ushar replied but could not help have an unsettling feeling about of Linda’s choice of word.
“Wow, how much does this go for, Aria?” Linda squealed in excitement as she grabbed a giant teddy bear by the side and Aria looked at her with wide eyes.
“That, it is not for sale, it’s mine.” She eventually replied and Linda paused before turning back to her with a pout.
“Uh, I guess I could make another one for you”, Aria hurriedly added with quite uncertain expression.
“Aww, that so nice of you, sweetie.” Linda said, blowing a kiss toward the silver-haired girl.
“You seem to really like it, I never thought anyone would be interested in such giant teddy.” Aria said, a rare smile blooming on her face.
“Well, I am really not sure anyone should be.” Ushar said, looking at a weird teddy bear standing at over six feet in wonder.
“You won’t understand, just leave us alone already. Shu, shu…”, Linda said, while Aria also threw him a distasteful gaze before turning back to Linda.
Suddenly, Ushar realized he had been forgotten in the room as both girls chatted like kids, skipping from one teddy to the other.
“This, this isn’t even what we came for, damn.” He exclaimed putting a palm on his forehead before sighing and sitting on a chair nearby. Somehow, he felt that his wait for the chattering girls to get tired of speaking wouldn’t be any small wait.
“Well, at least, I have the system to keep me company.” He muttered before summoning the system’s last message.
