Ushar gave a wry smile as he felt a heat wave HIT him and the pickup was sent spinning off into the air.
Suddenly, his vision warped and in found himself sitting in a car in front of the steering wheel. This was one of the cars from which the humans had exited and it was at the very end of the fleet.
“Who would have thought all those cars are explosive packs?” He said, releasing a breath before turning towards Aria with whom he had materialized in the car. “Thanks Aria, I didn’t know what would have become of me without you.” He said while watching a silver glow in the girl’s eyes receded.
“Gorgeous.” Ushar thought as he unconsciously moved his face closer to the girl just as she suddenly turned towards him, their lips almost touching and they stared on into each other’s eyes, frozen.
“You might want to save that for later, guys. They already noticed your bodies aren’t in the car.” Linda’s voice suddenly spoke in the duo’s ear.
“You should drive,” Aria said, immediately looking away from Ushar who had a disappointed expression on his face as he spun the wheel in a moment, turning the car back towards the President villa before zooming off.
After some moments of silence, Ushar suddenly spoke up with hard face, “You know, I actually have the habit of getting rid of every surveillance around me when Boss starts to irk me, Linda.”
“I know. But you wouldn’t dare do that now, Ushar.” Linda replied.
“You sound so certain, may I know why?” Ushar said, his face still hard.
“Because this isn’t just a mission, Ushar. It is your task and it would really be a sight to see you screw up your own mission.” Linda replied.
Ushar’s face twitched before he sighed and then looked at the rearview mirror, the fleet of cars were already left behind by them and they wouldn’t have to worry about those again.
“Uh, maybe not,” Ushar muttered, hearing the sound of a copter approaching rapidly from behind.
“They don’t seem to be attacking for now, you should proceed peacefully and wait for dialogue.” Linda spoke.
“Dialogue?” Ushar repeated with raised brows,
“Yes, by my calculations, they should have concluded you guys are Breakers. Hence a fight might not be in their best interest as they don’t know what you can do. With a dialogue however, they would be able to know your purpose in the safest manner. If your request doesn’t pose greater risk than your strength, they would gladly let you have your way, otherwise, you might have to fight your way in. I actually think the second option is most likely as on no condition will they let you have a physical meeting with the President.” Linda spoke.
“Well, a discourse would be useless in such case.” Ushar said.
“It might not.” Aria suddenly spoke and Ushar raised a brow.
“How?” He asked.
“We should try to abduct the president with as little fight as possible so a dialogue might not be entirely useless. In fact, it is quite the opposite as we can keep up our claim of being tourists, and convince the humans that even though we are breakers, we still are not willing to fight as long as they let us look around peacefully. The humans are likely to concede to our request even if they will keep close eyes on us but as long as we get close enough to the President’s office, I can get us in and we will wrap this up.” Aria spoke and Ushar raised a brow before nodding.
“Indeed, that might be the best plan.” Linda commented.
Soon, Ushar approached another road block and this time, a single car could be seen in front of it on which a large screen was placed. Some words were written on the screen.
“We will like to talk.” The words read and Ushar slowly brought the car to a stop.
Simultaneously, he and Aria got out of the car while the words on the screen disappeared before a face suddenly appeared on it.
Ushar’s eyes widened, visibly startled on seeing the face.
“Good day friends, I have been made aware of your impromptu visit and I believe anyone coming into the Presidential Villa is here for the President, right? So, I would like to know you and how may I be of help?” The person asked.
“Well, who would have thought the leader of the whole human race would appear, even if on screen to address two random trespassers. I, Bone Demon, am honored.” Ushar said, chuckling as he looked straight into the person on the screen. This was the president of the present Earth government, the leader of the whole human race.
The president’s eyes thinned on hearing Ushar words before he replied, “Nice to meet you, Bone Demon. But contrary to your words, I actually doubt you two are just random trespassers. In fact, you are anything but random so tell me – how may I be of help.” The President asked again.
“Well, my girlfriend and I are just tourists who like to tour the human world. I am sorry if we might have in anyway disturbed you, Mr. President but I will have to let my girlfriend decide what we want.” Ushar said, still smiling before turning to Aria who glared at him for a moment before turning back to the screen.
A few moments back…
On seeing the President’s appearance, the group’s plan had been immediately derailed but Linda had swiftly spoken in their ears.
“Hold him off Ushar, let us think.” She said, hence Ushar had been forced to keep the President busy with meaningless chats, now however, the ladies seem to have come to a swift conclusion.
“Actually, we were just here to look around Mr. President, but since you were gracious enough to attend to us, why should we let this great opportunity go to waste without making the most of it. So can I ask some questions?” Aria asked and the President smiled slightly as he nodded.
“You should indeed make the most out of it. Ask on, young Lady.” He replied.
“Thanks. The question is simple, is my presence here allowed or not?” Aria asked and silence followed for a while.
“Uh, what kind of question is that, of course we are not allowed to be here, we are Breakers.” Ushar thought with a wondering expression but eventually stopped thinking much with a shrug. Aria never struck him as a stupid person so whatever she said had to be for a purpose, he was quite expectant of the result of this dialogue.
