TO FULFILL A PURPOSE

1259 Words
Somewhere in space between the Earth and the Moon… In a large room surrounded by dark, smooth walls, the President was still staring at the screen on which Ushar’s and Aria’s face could be seen when his face suddenly turned blank. A man sitting to another side in the room, wearing a dark bland mask covering his features suddenly tapped on a button and the screen went blank. If Ushar was here, he would have been surprised to see his Boss. “Wh… what just happened.” The President suddenly asked, returning back to life from his dream-like state. “Seems his mental force has improved quite qualitatively, I have really struck gold this time.” The masked man said but he did not seems to be speaking to the President. The president looked at him for a moment before giving a tired sigh and looking through the smooth wall of the room beyond which he could see a gigantic grey sphere floating on in the endless cosmos. They were almost on the Moon. Back to Earth… “You know, my power is actually able to take me to anywhere I can see. Since I can see the moon, teleporting there should be possible as well”, Ushar heard Aria spoke as she stared into the sky. “Really?” He said, raising a brow as he stared down at her. “Uh, yeah, but we might need to prepare before leaving.” Aria replied. “Indeed, you guys will need to consider many things before attempting such. The atmosphere, communication, location, gravity and many more.” Linda spoke in their ears. “There is nothing to consider, we aren’t going there anyway.” Ushar said, opening a door of the car and Aria gave him a glance. “Aren’t you driving?” She asked as he wasn’t opening the door to the driver’s side. “I am opening the door for my girlfriend, come on, get in.” Ushar said evenl,y and Aria’s eyes widen for a moment. A blush climbed onto her cheek and she looked down before getting into the car and sitting. Closing the door, Ushar moved to the other side, getting in and starting the engine. “I could open it by myself you know. I have my own hands.” Aria spoke still looking down and Ushar paused for a moment before turning towards her. “Look into my eyes, Aria.” He said firmly and the girl looked up, quite surprised at Ushar’s sudden change in demeanor. He seems to have suddenly become a lot colder just after the discourse with the president. In fact, this version of him felt more like the Ushar that had abducted her. “Your hands can rest as long as I am with you, I will bear all the trouble.” He said looking straight into her eyes. Peering into his dark eyes, she could not help the feeling that she was peering into some endless abyss which threatened to suck her in. Memories of the day she had been abducted again appeared in her mind with all its dread and Aria she shut her eyes, trying to calm her shivering body. Ushar looked at the girl’s face in front of him and sighed, he wanted to look into her silver eyes and peer into her very soul but now, she was closing it. “Stop all your surveillance, Linda.” He suddenly spoke. “Uh!” “Stop all your surveillance around us, this instant.” He repeated, before holding a strand of Aria’s silver hairs, feeling it gently between in hands and the girl’s eyes yanked open, looking at him in surprise. “Your eyes, keep them open”, he said, before his lips slammed into Aria’s in a ferocious kiss and the girl’s eyes widened as her breathe hitched. Ushar could literally feel her heart drumming in his ears and Aria pulled back, breathing heavily while Ushar licked his lips with a playful smirk as he gaze towards the girl with great l**t burning in her eyes. Back in Aria’s skyscraper… Linda reclined on a chair, trying to keep a straight face as she gazed into the screen in front of her. In it, the scene of Ushar and Aria entangled in an intimate and passionate moment could be seen. Keeping her calm façade however prove impossible as Linda’s mouth trembled and she bit into her lips. From the corner of her eyes, a tear could be seen rolling down. Ushar had instructed her to shut off all her surveillance around him but that had aroused Linda’s suspicions. Curiosity eventually gotten better of her and she had shut off all except one, and now, her doubts were being brutally confirmed. Linda had thought she had managed to get over Ushar after all, they had never really gotten romantic with each other and it was all an illusion she had created for herself. Even so however, denying her feelings for him now was still making another illusory world for herseld, she was still very much in love with him and seeing him getting intimate with another woman broke her heart into a thousand pieces. “What am I doing? Not like he adds anything to me anyway, it’s his loss.” She muttered, forcing herself to shut off the screen, before closing her eyes with a sigh. The next day… Ushar stood at the edge of the rooftop of Aria’s skyscraper home as he gazed into the distance. Beside him, Aria stood also looking off into the distance while Linda lied on her back, at the center on the skyscraper top, staring into the sky. “I am running low on time, I guess we have no choice but to use the Seer Hospital building as our Production site now.” Ushar said, staring on at the distance. “What about the government? What if they attack again?” Linda asked. “We will just get rid of the attackers.” Ushar replied with a decisive voice. “Uh, what are you producing?” Aria asked. “Blood” UShar answered but Aria only stared on at him with a clueless face, “I mean, artificial human blood.” He quickly added. “Artificial human blood, uhh… I have some space in here anyways, it would be better and more protected than some other locations.” Aria suggested and Ushar looked at her with a pleasantly surprised face. “Thanks Aria. That would indeed be the best choice but the government seems to be after this facility. You risk your home being bombarded by rockets.” He asked. “Targeted by the government? Well, I am not afraid of them but I am curious, what are you planning to do with artificial blood?” Aria asked. “Uh, well, it’s for the Vampires. With that they won’t have to depend on the humans for blood anymore and finally, I can fulfill my promise.” Ushar said. “Promise?” Aria repeated in question. “Yeah, I made a promise to a kid sometimes that I would free every single human in the Blood Kingdom. With the artificial blood, I will finally be able to fulfill that promise and now, I have only two weeks.” Ushar said. “And how exactly do you plan to make the Vampires accept this? With the little I know about them, they don’t seems to be a very reasonable bunch.” Aria asked looking quite concerned.
