“What? So fast!” the woman shouted as her hand glowed brown light and a large boulder materialized in front of her into which Ushar’s fist slammed and the boulder was violently shattered, sending smaller rocks flying all around.
“Strong!” The woman exclaimed again.
Right through the destruction, Ushar could see the man’s flaming chain swinging towards his legs.
He raised a leg but the chain had wrapped around his other leg and the Warlock pulled with great strength but Ushar wasn’t moved an inch.
The flames on the chain however burnt rapidly through his bony carapace before he felt the ground quaking underneath him. He shot towards the warlock just as the ground collapsed where he had stood.
The Warlock seeing his charge, punched right towards Ushar but before the punch could connect, a gigantic ball of flame materialized from his fist.
Ushar crashed right into the flame which exploded on contact and he could feel searing pain washed through his entire body but quite unexpdetedly Ushar’s hand extended through the flame gripping right into the Warlock’s hand and the latter’s eyes widen.
“What is happening to me?” The Warlock shouted in horror as cracking sounds could be heard and soon the bones in his body were jutting out right through his skin.
The Witch by the side stiffened in horror while watching the Warlock’s body broke and bleed from the strange bone outgrowth. Soon, the Warlock’s body had collapsed to the ground and slowly, the Bone Demon turned to look at her.
Ushar could see the Witch rid still in utter dread and he calmly turned back towards the portal. For the first time, he had seen what a strong Magician fought like – a Royal Vampire would surely struggle against any of these two and the chance of winning or losing was actually tied. Actually, he felt most of the Royal Vampires would lose if they fought the fire Warlock.
However, he had yet to see what the Magician King could do and now he began to understand why the white-haired Witch seemed so confident.
Soon, Ushar stepped into the portal and his vision warped for a moment.
When his sight cleared up, Ushar found himself on a frozen plain and he could feel cold wind caress his skin. Looking down his body, there was nothing on it but a pair of short pants which had barely survived the magician’s attacks.
“Why did it have to be a Warlock with fire magic” he muttered, before walking some distance forwards where he reached the edge of a cliff looking down for a moment.
It was night so a bright source of light in the distance quickly caught his attention. Down there, he could see a tent beside which a truck was parked and some distance from the tent – a group of four were sitting around a bone fire. They sat in opposite pair of a man and woman, chatting and laughing loudly.
“I shouldn’t startle them.” Ushar muttered, before moving to the side of the cliff from where he jumped down.
Slowly, he approached the group from the side, not stealthy in the slightest.
The group of four suddenly quieted as they discovered a figure approaching form the side and they all turned towards him.
“Hey, friends.” Ushar said stopping some distance from the group who exchanged gazes before looking back at him.
“Are you alright man, you look lost.” One of the man spoke beckoning towards Ushar to move closer.
“Ah! Yeah, I am a lone hiker, encountered some problems along the way.” Ushar spoke, hugging his body as he walked towards the group.
“I should get him clothing.” A lady said to the rest before standing and walking into the tent.
Ushar reached the fire feeling warmth and he forced a relieved smile. Vampires after thrived in the coldest regions of the realm called the Underworld.
“You should get closer to the flame.” A female voice spoke and Ushar looked up to see a sweatsuit, pants and sneakers being handed over to him.
“Thanks.” He said, wearing the cloths before sitting beside the fire again.
In fact, he was not in the least cold, he only needed some clothing materials from the bunch and now he had gotten it. Ushar soon snuck off immediately they let down their guard while the four continued their chats seemingly to have forgotten all about him.
Back in the Underworlds…
In front of a blinking silver portal, a woman was hunched over a horrifying bone corpse. This was the Witch who had just attacked Ushar and the corpse was her dead partner.
“Katarina.” A man’s voice suddenly called and the Witch looked up, her face all teary.
In front of her, she could see a purple haired man whose eyes scrunched for a moment.
“King Merlin, my Lord.” The Witch shakily called, bowing her head towards the ground.
“What happened here?” King Merlin asked.
“We, we attacked a creature trying to break away from the Underworld. He had a normal human like appearance at first but just after we attacked him, he transformed into a strange creature covered in some white armor and attacked. He was too fast, too strong and too resilient, he also seemed to possess a strange power to control bone and he, he did this to Dean and broke away” the woman reported as tears streamed down her cheeks.
The King's frown deepened on hearing that. These two guards were a Magician couple who both possessed great strength that rivaled even that of the leaders and he had purposely stationed them to guard the portal just so they could restrict even the strongest supernaturals from leaving the Underworld or at least get a good look at them before retreating to give their reports.
“The Breaker, did he look like a Demon?” He asked with thinned eyes.
“He didn’t look like a Demon my Lord, he was a Demon, a bone Demon.” The Witch with venomous gaze.
“Very well then, go back to the Kingdom with Dean’s corpse, I will be gone for a while.” The King spoke before moving towards the portal. Now he was absolutely sure that the Breaker was Ushar and it was likely, he would encounter the Bone Demon this very night.
