A PRINCE'S POWER

“The freedom is not exactly now but I am indeed here to fulfill the promise. I promise I will free every single human here the next time I come,” he said still staring at the Witch, “so, what is with this Witch?” he asked again. “I am Agnes, and if you want to know anything about me, you don’t need to ask others like a coward. Talk to me directly.” She stated and an amused smile emerged on Ushar’s face. “Well then, what is your mission in the Blood Kingdom, Agnes?” He asked. “Who are you to ask me such, why should I answer you, are you the Vampire King?” Agnes asked back staring right into Ushar’s eyes. “You would rather not know who I am, Witch.” Ushar spoke before turning to Brad, “if indeed you trust the young man, endure just a while longer. I can’t state a definite time but I will definitely come back, and with me, I will bring your freedom.” He declared. “I am sorry Bone Demon but even I don’t trust you now, you took years to come back and still you are not here with the promised freedom. We can’t wait any longer.” Dunn said and Ushar looked at him, his face scrunched. “I only want a freedom where every side is safe and satisfied Dunn. I have scoured the world for this seven years and have found that the solution is not with the Witches or any other supernatural race, the solution is with you humans. I will have to go but trust me, when I am back, no single soul will be hurt and everyone will be free.” Ushar said. “Without a single loss of life?” Dunn muttered looking uncertainly at Ushar for a moment, before sighing and turning to the Brad, this is the leader and only he could make the final decision. Brad gave an acknowledging nod before looking at Ushar, “Trust is not earned by mere word of mouth, Bone Demon. And if anything, a Demon would be the last person I would trust so tell me, how do you aim to assure us that only you can help us achieve what several generations of Magicians have tried to do for a long time without success and even more, you said you would achieve it without a single death. I would really like to know, how?” Brad spoke looking at Ushar whose face scrunched but before he could speak, the Witch had beaten him to it. “There is nothing to know Leader Brad. We Magicians have a long history of always helping the humans out against all single threat, especially when it comes to supernatural threats. Once again, we have decided to put a stop the shedding of human blood and this time once and for all, we will destroy the Blood Kingdom down to the very last Vampire.” The Witch declared and Ushar’s eyes widened. “Well, coming from a magician, I am quite surprised. I mean when did you guys become so strong and brazen?” Ushar asked looking at the Witch with raised brows. “It doesn’t matter, the Blood Kingdom will be destroyed anyway and you, your aura feels quite powerful, if you really want to help them get free, you should join us. If you won’t join us, at least don’t get in our way or you will be destroyed as well.” The Witch declared. Chuckling, Ushar replied as he looked round the group and spoke, “do you really think you weak humans will survive a clash between two supernatural races, once again, I am offering you a way out without war. The human technology has gone a long way and with it, we have been able to produce synthetic blood which the Vampires will accept and then you will all be free. Again, I don’t know what you Magicians are thinking but the Blood Kingdom is strong, they have always been, to destroy the Blood Kingdom, you will need more than just some witches.” He stated. “Synthetic blood!” Brad exclaimed with wide eyes and everyone else had their eyes wide in surprise as well. Of course, synthetic blood was a substance humans had always tried to produce but for whatever reasons, had never been able to. Hearing that someone had managed to accomplish it sent several thoughts running through the minds of every one, without doubt this was really the best solution at least if the Vampires accepted it. “How sure are you that the Vampires will accept this, what if they don’t?” the Witch’s quickly asked back. “Yes, how do you want us to believe the Vampires will accept some synthetic blood? After all even we humans are apprehensive of synthetic crops.” Brad augmented with a frown. However, Ushar could spot slight hope in his face, the old man wanted out of war if possible. “Since it has come to this…” Ushar spoke looking straight at the Witch, “I am Ushar, born of the last Vampire King, Lord Axim and the last Human Leader, Madam Eleanor, I command you to kneel!” He shouted glaring at the Witch as darkness enveloped his whole eyes. The Witch eyes widened as her body moved on its own accord, her face filled with struggle as she slammed the wand in her hand into the ground but Ushar’s control was too powerful, the Witch’s knees slammed into the ground while the others watched on gobsmacked. The darkness in Ushar eyes disappeared and he looked at Dunn, “I hope you don’t think different of me now, just like I have promised, I will free everyone here.” He said. “Think differently of you?” Dunn repeated looking at Ushar, “I probably didn’t tell you but Madam Eleanor was not only like a mother to me, she also confided in me and told me many things she told no other person. I have always known you were a Prince of the Blood Kingdom and that was why I chose to call you a Demon because to me, all Vampires are nothing short of Demons but it doesn’t matter. I have made my choice, I will try my best to destroy the Blood Kingdom or get destroyed trying, they took Madam Eleanor from me, the only one I have ever known as a mother, my life is meaningless if I don’t avenge her death.” The young man declared before turning to Brad, “the fate of all humans here depends on your decision, Leader Brad” he said.
