AGREED

Groaning, Ushar forced himself to stand straight as the bone armor on his body receded and he looked at the two figures who had emerged with thinned gaze. The first was a Silver haired girl, whom he had learned was actually a Witch. In fact, he should have realized this fact at his first encounter with the Witch. After all, only the legendary spatial magicians were known to have natural silver hair. Her eyes were glued onto his as well and Ushar wondered what exactly was running through the lady’s head. Her gaze seemed murderous, but also slightly confused. Ushar however, felt even more confused about his own thoughts. He should have been angry on seeing her, after all she had probably led the attack that killed his boss and everyone of his friends. Again, he should have been wary on seeing her, after all, the Magician King had warned him that he had messed with the wrong Witch which undoubtedly was her considering what had happened to the seer mercenary but now he felt none of those emotions. Instead, a strange desire to take hold of her ignited in his heart. In fact, Ushar had been feeling different ever since he set his gaze on her, after giving her up to his Boss, he felt regret, he felt empty and now, he no longer want to feel that. “I see you took another one that belongs to me.” He suddenly heard the person who had stepped out after the girl spoke, it was the Magician King whose gaze was fixed on a boneless corpse to the side. Slowly, the Magician King raised his head turning towards Ushar and in his eyes, Ushar spotted rage. He could not help sigh in frustration. Right now, he was too weak to fight another battle, especially not against the Magician King, after all the King possessed powers just like the one that had reduced him to this state, just that his was even more amplified. “You have done enough. I guess it’s time to get rid of you.” The Magician King spoke walking towards Ushar with a murderous gaze. [New Quest] [Live!] “So this is how I die.” Ushar thought on seeing the quest before raising his hands and a bony carapace grew over them but he couldn’t even extend the bone armor past his ankle. Still, no matter how weak he was, Ushar was not planning to die here, he would only trick the Magician King into thinking he wanted to fight and flee at the slightest opportunity. The Magician king acted in a moment as his hand glowed and two immaterial purple spikes materialized in them which he sent flying towards Ushar. “This again” Ushar thought, ducking back but the spikes never even reached his position. His eyes widened as the spikes seemed to impact some invisible barrier which rippled like water in the air before they both dissipated. “What are you doing King Merlin? I thought we had an agreement.” The silver haired girl spoke, still looking at Ushar but now, her eyes were both glowing silver. The Magician King looked at the Spatial Witch for a moment before speaking, “indeed, we had a deal Lady Aria. Forgive me for doing this but I would like to be at his funeral as soon as possible. If killing him proves too hard, you can count on me to lend a hand.” He said with a chuckle before looking all around the place. “Gather warriors and pick your leader’s corpse, it’s time to return to the Underworld and declare who the King is.” King Merlin ordered, and the Magicians who had scattered all around quickly gathered behind the Magician King and the Magicians set off. “Did she just save me?” Ushar thought feeling a strange emotion welling in his heart before the silver haired girl turned to look at him and his heart quickened. In fact, he was no fool and the words of the Magician King suggested he could likely get killed by the Silver haired Witch, and Ushar was even more wary of her since escaping from her would surely prove far trickier than escaping the Magician King. “I can’t believe you can look so weak, bastard?” The girl eventually spoke looking right into his eyes and Ushar pursed his lips. “Can you not call me bastard?” He replied and he could see the silver witch frown, “I know I am a dead man and all but can you just please take this as my final request, don’t call me a Bastard, you can even use some other words like Demon or something.” He concluded shrugging. A funny expression briefly appeared on the Witch’s face before her eyes went back to their usual coldness, “final words indeed,” she said before walking right to his face, “however, you are wrong, you are not yet speaking your final words Bastard. Just like you did to me, just like you spared me the first time we met, I will also spare your life now, but, the next time we meet, you are dead.” She said before disappearing from Ushar’s sight. “I am really still alive.” Ushar muttered, after sometimes of staring blankly into the air and a large sigh escaped from his mouth. “You are really still alive, but not for much longer.” He suddenly heard a voice from behind, and the sharp sound of a sniper being fired reached his ears. Ushar closed his eyes sighing, he could not even evade an ordinary bullet in his current state, not to mention a sniper. Death, however, never came. Turning back, Ushar was surprised to see a ripple spreading in the air and the bullet stopped mid air for a moment before eventually dropping on the ground. “What! How?” The voice from earlier spoke again, their voice suffused with great bewilderment and looking up, Ushar could see Greg lying on a large tree branch with a sniper in his hand. Behind Greg however, he could see another person and his jaw dropped. “Why do you always try to kill people?” Greg suddenly heard a voice from behind him and he slowly turned back. Behind him, he could see a silver haired girl whose face was greatly familiar and his eyes widened in horror, “you, you…” he stuttered looking at the girl. “I wouldn’t have minded you for trying to kill me but you still try to steal my prey, that is unforgivable.” She said before swinging her hand forward and Greg’s head was cleanly decapitated from his body by an invisible force. Then she raised her head looking at Ushar before speaking, “you saved me from him once, now I just did that for you so we are…” “Wait.” Ushar interrupted her before she could finish her speech, he was fully aware that she would once again disappear once she spoke so he had to cut in and ask his question, “what is your name, I would like to know the name of my savior” he spoke and the girl’s brow rose. “Savior” she repeated, with a frown, “well then, I am Aria and the next time we meet, I won’t be your savior anymore.” She said before disappearing. “I hope we meet soon.” Ushar muttered, before several system messages bombarded him and a large smile broke out on his face.
