ANCIENT VAMPIRE

“Indeed, it does.” The Leader said nodding before looking at Ushar with a slight frown, “I will give you a month Sir Ushar, if after then you are still not here to help us, we will have no choice but to take the Magician’s help.” Brad stated and Ushar looked at him for a moment before nodding and looking at the Witch who seemed still frozen in shock and she immediately looked away on noticing his gaze. “I hope to see you all in a month then.” He spoke and left. Some moments later… In front of a dark hazy tunnel, two red eyed vampires stood some distance from each other, their gaze staring through the darkness. Suddenly, a faint gust blew by and one of the Vampires turned sharply to the side before looking at his fellow, “hey, did you notice anything just now?” he asked with slight frown. “What?” the other replied looking around in confusion. “The air felt different just now.” The Vampire said still frowning slightly. “There is nothing man, stop hallucinating,” The other said shaking his head. “Uh, we might actually be in greater danger if I am hallucinating.” The Vampire muttered before shrugging and assuming his stoic face again. “True, that’s why I told you to stop hallucinating.” The other replied shrugging as well before the place returned to its previous tranquility. In the tunnel behind the two a figure walked on, his figure almost completely masked by the darkness, it was Ushar. “That was a keen one?” Ushar muttered after hearing the exchange between the two guards. The Vampires were readily differentiated by their eye colors, but the eye colors represented more than just physical manifestations. They determined the powers possessed by a Vampire. The red eyed vampires were generally physically strong Vampires while the purple eyed Vampires had great mental manipulation power, the golden eyed possessed both, hence they ruled. Since the guards were only red eyed Vampires, Ushar was still able to get in the tunnel just behind them without being detected. He was actually surprised one of the guards had noticed something. In the tunnel, Ushar suddenly paused before looking upwards, and there he could see a flock of bats hanging upside down the wall. “I met Vera first then you, has my luck really gone so bad or is it you guys who have taken your jobs more seriously?” Ushar spoke before the bats suddenly went restive flying down towards a single point before they all disappeared and in their place, a golden eyed man softly landed on the ground. “Uh, isn’t this the infamous bastard of the royals I sent sprawling some years ago.” The vampire said, his voice sounding ancient and powerful. Sighing, Ushar raised his hands, “I am not here to fight or anything, Stael, I am only here to see my father.” Ushar said hurriedly. Stael was one of the oldest Vampires alive, he had lived through centuries hence was one of the few Royal Vampires whom no one knew much about, in fact, Stael seemed to been forgotten by many vampires except the royals. “I remembered telling you that you should only return when you are sure of defeating me and… about your Father, I could help you get to him faster.” The ancient Vampire spoke looking at Ushar with a dark smirk. Putting his hand down, Ushar walked forward before stopping right in front of the Vampire’s face, “before trying to do anything, you should ask yourself a question. Can you?” he said and Stael stared on at him, not in the least perturbed. “And what if I don’t, kid?” he replied. “You might get hurt then” Ushar said before stepping to the side to continue forwards but his wrist had been gripped firmly in place and he looked to the side to see the ancient Vampire barring his fangs. The whole place quaked as Ushar slammed into the ground, rolling for a moment before slowly coming to a stop and in his mouth, pain raced through his nerves as he coughed spitting out blood. Stael’s attack was so sudden that he hadn’t even been given opportunity to materialize his bone armor.
