The next day…
A sleek silver car could be seen driving along by the side of a busy road and Ushar exited his car, a black bucket cap was on his head and he looked towards a gigantic building by the side, his face scrunched up.
Seer Hospital, a large signboard at the top of the building wrote. In front of the gigantic door of the building however, another sign was placed and this one read – Closed.
“What is this?” he muttered, looking at the hospital with a troubled face.
“What a pity.” An old man sitting by the side suddenly spoke and Ushar turned towards him, “this hospital was actually a good one, I was a regular because it is quite close to my house.” The man seemed to be speaking to himself as he looked at the closed hospital with a resigned face.
“You seems to like the hospital old man.” Ushar spoke, and the old man slowly turned towards him.
“Uh, never thought a big kid would be interested in an old man’s rant.” The man spoke before beckoning to him, “come, come, let have some man to man chat.” The old man said patting the space beside him and Ushar smirked in amusement before sitting beside the man.
Even though he looked young, that did not guarantee this old man was older than he since a century old vampire could still retain the look of a twenty year old man.
“I am actually not interested in a man to man chat. I am just curious about the reason for the hospital’s closure.” Ushar said, and the old man stared at him for a moment before bursting into a loud laugh.
“Easy there man.” Ushar said, and the old man slammed his stick on the ground eventually going silent.
“What a frank young man.” The old man spoke with resigned face as he looked back towards the hospital.
“So, why do you think the hospital was closed?” Ushar asked.
“Well, I actually heard a rumor that this company was only a cover for a much darker facility where some dark experiments are being performed.” The man said before suddenly looking around and then moving his mouth closer to Ushar’s ear, “this is a classified secret but, they were experimenting on humans and animals, trying to create super-hybrid species.” He whispered.
Ushar’s eyes widen on hearing the man’s words, in fact, he was not feigning his surprise in the least, he was really surprised.
After all the man’s words where true, at least for the first part. The hospital was indeed, just a cover for a much larger experimental facility and this facility was where the synthetic blood was being produced.
In fact, the Seer Hospital was sponsored by the Seer Mercenaries and Linda had been the director of the hospital.
Ushar however, did not have any other person’s contact except for the Boss.
Now Greg was gone and when he tried the Boss’s number, he had expected Linda to answer but still, no one to pick up, hence he had decided to visit the Seer hospital only to see the place was closed.
There could only be two reasons for the hospital’s closure, the government had either frozen every asset linked to the Seer Mercenaries or the blood creation facility had been discovered or both.
In either case, the old man’s words had made it clear that the government was aware of the blood creation facility and were now stopping it, Ushar wondered why they would even do that.
“Your informant, can I meet them?” Ushar suddenly asked the old man who looked at him in surprise.
“You seem genuinely curious about this place, but before connecting you to the informant. I need to know your identity, who are you?” The old man asked.
Ushar stared at him for a moment before shrugging, “I am Ushar, also called Bone Demon.” He replied.
“Bone Demon.” The old man repeated laughing for some moments before standing, “Meet the informant in front of your house.” He spoke before walking away.
“What?” Ushar muttered looking at the departing man, suddenly his eyes widen.
