Ushar landed on the ground and looking back at the helicopter, he could see the gigantic aircraft spiraling in air before crashing violently into the huge mansion some distance away. A part of the building was completely crushed through and several dog barks could be heard from inside the remnant.
From the copter’s tail, a powerful explosion blasted off sending brick slabs, glass shards, metallic parts and debris hurtling in all direction.
“Get your a*s behind some trees!” He suddenly heard Ryan screamed from the side but Ushar simply raised his hand to shield his face as the chaotic mass washed over him and then he walked towards Ryan who was hiding behind a large tree while assembling several machine parts with amazing speed and familiarity.
“Help with the bag.” Ryan spoke looking at the large bag which Ushar dragged behind him and Ushar pulled it to Ryan’s front eliciting an appreciative nod from the man as he began to pull out other machine parts from the bag as well.
Within a brief moment, a large launcher was there in front of Ryan and from the bag Ushar had brought, he removed a three-foot-long rocket which he fixed into the large barrel of the launcher and then aimed at the large complex in the distance.
“Wait, is there supposed to be someone around?” Ushar suddenly asked and Ryan stared at him with a frown.
“There isn’t, the mansion is completely evacuated except perhaps, some pets purposely left in there to make the whole thing look real. You can hear the barking right?” Ryan replied.
“Pets, but I smell a man running through the forest towards that building, if you launch that rocket, they will die.” Ushar replied.
“Well, since you somehow know this, better go send this person back because I have to launch the rocket within ten seconds, we can’t stay here for long.” Ryan spoke but Ushar had shot off before he could even finish his words.
“God! God! If Author dies then you don’t exist, Author, I am coming for you...”
Ushar’s sensitive ears could pick up the repeated cries of what sounded like a young man from the distance and this was why he had asked Ryan if anyone was supposed to be in the mansion here.
The cries of this person however hinted that there was someone called Author in the mansion. Soon, Ushar could see the person and just like he thought, he was a teenager. Tall and plump with tears running down his cheeks as he reached the stairs of the building but Ushar appeared just by the door at that moment intercepting the man.
“Who is Author?” He asked with a frown, no matter how he tried to note the scents from inside the building, there was no human scent in there so he wondered why this teenager seems to be looking for a person inside there.
“Who are you? Get off my way…” The teenager replied with a frown.
Ushar shook his head before lifting the boy wholly off the ground by the waist and running away from the house and the teenager struggled fiercely but fruitlessly against his grip.
Behind Ushar, he could feel a powerful blast impacted the mansion and he immediately leapt off the ground as the struggling teenager on his shoulder stiffened and screamed, “Auuuthooooorrrr…”
When he landed on the ground, Ushar sighed dropping the boy who collapsed on his boot with tears and slime running down his face as he repeatedly called, “Author…” Sometimes he would sniffle and then began to cry again.
“Hey, I am quite certain nobody was in that house, maybe you should try calling this person.” Ushar spoke before walking off towards Ryan who was leaving the place already.
“Author is a nice dog, my pet. He was in there, I heard him barking. Why did I leave him in the house? Aaaahhh...” Ushar paused for a moment, wondering if he had just heard right.
