Ushar eyes were wide open as he stared at ceiling above him. Now, he had grown accustomed to the bright light and they no longer hurt his head. Ushar could not help wonder why sun light could hurt him but these lights could not.
“What does it matter anyway, I am going to leave here someday and when I do…” Ushar stopped his mutterings as he stared down at two metallic locks which held his legs securely to the bed. His hand were also spread to the side and locked by the same chains.
Ushar simply could not believe mere humans could reduce him to this situation but no matter how he tried to break through the locks, they simply proved unbreakable even when he transformed.
“Here we go again.” A voice spoke from the side and Ushar slowly turned towards his right where a transparent screen was, through this screen, two figures were looking at him – a lady with long straight brown hair and brown eyes, she always had a sweat suit on her body and the other person, he had the figure of a man and was dressed in a gentleman suit but with his face covered in some dark mask and his hand also gloved, his voice was also that of a man.
After breaking out of the room sometimes ago before he was knocked out by the sun and some injection, Ushar eventually woke up and this time, he was chained to the bed by this terrifyingly tough metals. The wall he damaged seems to have been replaced by a transparent glass and behind this glass, the mask person came and spoke to him about helping him but of course, Ushar would certainly die before taking the help of a pathetic human.
He tried to wrench himself off the metallic locks by force but it didn’t work no matter how he tried, he even tried to use his mental control skill on the masked person but that failed as well, he wasn’t surprised since the man was masked.
Days passed as the man tried in vain to persuade him and eventually, a lady started to follow behind him, she was always quiet as the man tried to persuade Ushar but again, his words fell on deaf ears.
An uncertain amount of time passed and Ushar was getting restless with each passing day, he wanted blood, he wanted to leave this confinement in which he had been put in by pesky humans but it seems the only way to do this was to bend to their will. Ushar however was a prince, he had never bent to the will of another vampire, not to mention a mere human which was his food.
“Masked bastard, are you finally here to give up your wretched life? Your death will be swift, I promise.” Ushar spoke with a maniacal grin on his face but he could not see the mask man’s expression, the lady behind him however gave a tired sigh while glancing at the masked man with a questioning gaze.
“You need help boy and I can help you but not like this, you are holding unto some self destructing wrath and you have to let it go if your soul is to be saved.” The masked person and Ushar barred his fangs as he reared up with all the veins in his body bulging from anger, his face was red as he just wished he could get a hold on the masked bastard, suck him dry and rip his head of his body.
“Sigh… you are near the brink boy, trust me, if you transform into that monster form of yours a few more time, you will be stuck like that forever until someone manages to take your head and save you from that eternal madness.” The masked man said before turning back and leaving.
“Bastard! Why hide behind a mask? Why lock me up? Come here and speak to my face if you are really certain you can help me!” Ushar shouted but the mask man continued walking out of the other room but unlike before, the lady who usually followed him did not leave with him, instead, she remained in the other room looking through the glass at Ushar who slowly turned towards her before quickly looking away as he shouted, “leave!”
This lady reminded him of his mother, she reminded him of the pain he felt while holding her and she also reminded him of the shameful fact that his mother was a weak human.
“Didn’t you hear what I said, leave!” He shouted again and the lady shook her head before speaking.
“It’s been almost a year since you were rescued by Boss in the ice. We weren’t sure how long you have spent there but in there, you lie unconscious for almost a month and all that time, I took care of you as best as I could because boss wanted me to…” The lady stopped for a moment with a frown on her face, “But what did you do when you woke up? You went wild, destroying everything and even broke the wall that had securely kept you safe while you were lying almost dead on our bed. We barely managed to restrain you back and since then Boss always come here first thing in the morning for ten straight months to try make you understand your situation but what do you still do? You scream and you shout at him… you shout at us like we are some evil guys. Tell me, did Boss did the wrong thing by seeing you frozen in ice and bringing you here to safety? Have I been doing the wrong thing by nursing you back to health all this while?” Linda asked and silence followed for some moments.
Ushar stared into the ceiling above with a hard face but inside, he was thinking to his actions and wondering if they were really right. If the humans indeed rescued and helped him as this lady had claimed, had all his actions really been right?
Again however, the very fact that a human had rescued and helped him was a great blow to his ego. He had to make this humans realize that they weren’t doing him any favor, they couldn’t because they were low lives.
Even if they didn’t rescue him, he only needed time and eventually his body would be fully healed and all this wouldn’t have been happening, this is their fault.
“I feel you have many things you want to say but you aren’t saying them, it is okay, after all we are still strangers so why don’t we start with our names.” The lady said with smile and added, “I am Linda, what do I call you?”
Ushar closed his eyes for sometimes before slowly turning towards the lady and now, his eyes were entirely black as he spoke, “Leave.”
The woman face turned dazed for a moment before she nodded and turned away, leaving the place.
