Titans return home

The week had flown by. Ashton stood outside the pack house, waiting for the car to pull up with his brother Titian. His face a smile of anxiousness, he glanced at his watch and rocked back and forth on his heels. the guard watched him smirking and shook his head.
"Alfa, he will be here shortly. You must be excited?" he stated. Ashton looked up and gave a half grin.
" Is it that noticeable I'm excited to have my brother home after many moons?"
The guard nodded, " Yes, Alfa. "
Ashton looked off words the gates hearing the car approach. it pulled up to the pack house, and from behind the driver door, Titan emerged. His dark skin glistened in the sunlight, he removed his shades, a smile spread forming ear to ear, and he stood arms extended.
" Brother, I have returned home it's so good to be home and to see you after so many moons!"
He took Ashton in for a bear hug, squeezing him tight.
" As I've missed you, brother, now tell me how was the patrol of the neighboring borders?"
They made their way through the front door to the commons room and sat down to discuss further.
" Well, the borders have had a few breaches, but no one can seem to find where they are coming in from nor who it is that came threw. Just a gust of wind and the smell of cocoa butter and wet cat pass, but no one has actually seen the person in question behind it."
Ashton looked at Titian in confusion
"How do we know it's a person? No human can do such a thing?" he said, shaking his head.
" There's been two eye witnesses state that you can feel the energy shift and smell the magic in the air. the only sound you hear is the growl of some wild cat."
Ashton looked around the room and stood.
" There's got to be an answer. Maybe your father would know?"
Just then, Titans dad entered the room, his voice calling the boys to his attention.
" I'm afraid i do have the answer, and it's the fear of no end. This proves that my theory was correct."
Ashton looked him right in the eyes. " Fear of no end? What's going on?"
He brought a hand up, placing it on Ashtons shoulder.
" My boy, I fear the witch Juniper is out for the revenge she promised on your father. we have to call the council of elders for a meeting at once."
Ashton shook his head. " I don't understand why would this witch wants revenge against my father. What could he have possibly done to her?"
" My boy long ago there was a great battle between our pack and the witch Juniper and her husband the evil Warlock Leroy Brown. the battle lasted many moons, and they killed many of us, but your father stood strong. After he noticed that the spells had a short time between them, they could pull an attack between he put together a plan. he said if we could get a mirror between us and them when they fired off the next spell, it would rickshaw off and give us enough time to attack them and force a surrender. well, when the next spell was cast, the guards threw up three mirrors on your father's order, and it bounced off and hit Leroy, turning him into a black panther. Juniper then distracted flew to him, and we attacked, bringing them both down. we took them prisoners and set them before the council. where they were exiled and cast to an island to be alone forever, and not being able to break the spell, Leroy remained a panther. on their departure, she swore revenge on the Blackfords and swore a curse would come to the family line."
Ashton couldn't believe his ears. He sat down in the chair to his right, his legs now heavy.
" a curse all because my father bested her, why were they even fighting in the first place? it's starting to feel like everyone was against my parents and this whole family from the jump."
he put his head in his hands.
" Oh moon goddess, what should I do now, Amelia's with my child and the curse if definitely here, or they wouldn't be gone, and Juniper is coming for my family all over again."
Titan and his dad looked at each other. He gave his son a nod.
" Ashton, we have been training out whole lives for this, a war, a curse, a witches revenge, it doesn't matter we have each other and as a family we will defeat and overcome any battle that comes our way."
" Thank you, Titan, but how do we stop a witch?"
Titan smiled when that time comes just leave it to me, brother."
the two hugged once more.
" Now let's go meet your beautiful bride you speak of I'm excited to meet the woman who has you wrapped around her finger already."
he laughed, and Ashton smacked him him on the back, letting out a laugh himself.
" she's in the kitchen preparing your welcome home meal. Let's go join her now."
Amelia sat in the kitchen infrastructure of the counter, mixing up a big bowl of potato salad when Ashton and Titan entered the rroom.
she looked up from her work as she heard their footsteps enter, a big toothy smile on her face she wiped her hands and ran from behind the counter.
" Oh my goddess, you must be titian. I'm wo happy to finally meet you."
she was tiny compared to Titan and stood on her toes as she hugged him he tried to be gentle with her small body so as not to hurt her belly as he gently hugged her back.
" You must be Amelia. My brother spoke of you on the phone, but he mentioned not of beauty."
she smacked his arm playfully.
" Oh you, Ashton, your brother is a flirt."
she giggled and then kissed her husband.
" Yes, princess, and is lunch ready? have you prepared a wonderful lunch for us with your amazing cooking?"
Titan snickered.
" smoochy couple, I see."
Amelia went back to her bowl stirring everything together and she grabbed plates from the stack, she walked over to the stove and removed a lid from a pan, a wonderful smell of fried chicken filled the air.
she grabbed her tongs and put a large piece of fried chicken on each plate, then from another pot, a scoop of Mac, and the last pot, a spoon of green beans. the boys watched their mouths watering. she came back to the counter and lastly added a big scoop of potato salad from the bowl and placed the two plates before the boys.
" My favorite dishes prepared just for yall."
she said with a smile. the boys looked at each other and took their forks in hand, digging in they let out moans of approval.
" ummm baby, this is amazing!"
" Yes, munmm, I agree Amelia this is the best lunch. Thank you so much."
" Welcome home, Titan!"
she said, smiling as she watched them enjoy their lunch.
