Vixen was angry, he was more than furious, how could the rich extort money from the poor just to make themselves richer, vixen was boiling when he entered the palace gate. He barged into the throne room and saw his father talking with some commissioners, but he was so furious that he didn't even care.
"How could you sit on that throne and see all these happening and you say nothing " Vixen yelled, his demon was letting loose and he felt without control he would loose it. He closed his eye and tried with all his will power to control himself.
During the moment he used to calm down. The king had dismissed the commissioners, then looked up at his son. He noticed that vixen's eye was now majorly red, so he allowed him to calm down.
"We should go to the garden outside" king Dyrroth said as he came down his throne and held his son, thou it was something that was considered degrading, the king didn't care, his son needed him and he would be there for him.
Vixen after much hesitance took his hand as they headed to the central garden.
They had reached the garden holding hands earning higher respects from their servants. How many kings would care about their son and show much concern.
Before they would reach the garden vixen was already calm, the sight of the garden was amazing
The majestic entrance gates, adorned with the royal crest, swung open to reveal a lush oasis within the castle walls. Manicured lawns, soft as silk beneath one's feet, stretched towards vibrant flowerbeds, where colorful blooms of roses, lavender, and exotic spices danced in the gentle breeze. Sparkling fountains, featuring intricate stone carvings, added a soothing melody to the serene atmosphere. Meandering paths, made of gravel and brick, invited leisurely strolls beneath shaded arbors, their elegant pergolas providing refuge from the sun. Fruit and herb gardens, tended with precision, yielded fresh produce for the royal table, while topiary and hedges, precision-pruned into geometric shapes and fantastical creatures, added a touch of whimsy. Ornate statues and sculptures, masterpieces of art, stood guard throughout the garden, depicting mythological figures and royal icons. Quiet ponds, babbling brooks, and majestic reflecting pools completed the symphony of sights, scents, and sounds, creating a tranquil escape for the monarch and his heir.
They both left each other's hands as King Dyrroth looked to his son "Now you can talk more calmly and respectable, that is why you are a crowned prince"
Vixen looked at his father before sighing, " Sorry father, I was strolling in the market, when i heard noises and I went towards the direction, only to see a palace guard trashing an old woman's store all in the name of doing justice, just because she didn't pay the remaining five copper coins from the 12 silver coins they had to pay"
The king looked equally confused about what he was talking about, " 12 silver coins? from commoners, that is the amount mearnt for the merchants, why would sir Edwin Reginald do such a thing? Vixen was happy that his father was in his side, he loved that he trusted him without doubt.
"That would have to stop! This is an inhumane action, he has to be released of his work " Vixen wanted that man behind bars in no time.
" And that is where I have to stop you, you are the crowned prince, you can't just rush into matters like that in order not to get implicated in the process, a plan need to be initiated"
Vixen thought for a while about what the king had said, before it clocked in his mind. "Call for an urgent meeting for few of the commissioners who are currently still in Vylonia, then I will take up the rest from there.
The messenger was called upon and he left to do my part, he would gather informations anywhere he could find.
****
The next day was the day I would go to the market and shared to the poor, the
thought of seeing dim eyes being lit up with hope gave me joy, thou I couldn't see it, the way they thanked me and how Niamh would tell me all their kind gestures gave me hope.
The ten barrels were set, they were all stocked up to the full, I had done some research on some of the goods that where scarce this season.
I was giving one of the guards orders to bring trustworthy able men to help in distribution of the goods,
I sensed some one looking at me and turned toward the direction, the structure was of a woman, with those curves I would never forget I knew who it was.
"Eirlys! what do you think your doing? I said putting my hands over my chest.
"Are you sure you are really blind, how did you know I was here?
"Doesn't explain why you didn't make your presence known"
"I thought you would still be mad at me" Eirlys said , I could hear the slight guilt in her words.
"About what my dearest little sister, just because you didn't show up after telling me you would, or because you kept me waiting and didn't inform me you wouldn't come" I pouted my lips to add more drama to this interesting scene, mocking a little sister was actually interesting.
Eirlys threw herself at me embracing me in a hug, I struggled for sometime before giving in to the hug, I stroke her hair, honestly her hair was silky and rich, she was a blonde just like her mother, her eyes was a metallic black a combo of mama and papa's eye, she had curves, highs and falls where necessary, she was a beauty, just as her mother.
"Am so sorry, I had sword classes and I didn't even remember before I stupidly set a date for us, am sorry sis" I believed her, she had sword classes on some days of the weeks.
"How is your sword training going so far?
I had practiced sword training, I didn't let my blindness get into my training, my other senses helped me get better in training and most of the times I had beaten my trainers in a fight.
"Am actually improving" Eirlys said "we should train together at times"
"Maybe we would, but later. Would you join me to the market tomorrow?
" I would skip that, the place stinks, and then the dust would probably knock me into coma" Ok Eirlys was kind of a brat, but she had a good heart.
I shook my head amused by her response.
