It's been a month since we shifted to New York. I thought that it would be difficult for me to get used to this new environment, but reality was quite different from that. I easily get along with the people here as it's been a week since I joined college here. Moreover, I have made many new friends here. Everyone is so nice to me . Hardin is also enjoying his life here as he has made many friends too. In fact, our next-door neighbor Dylan, his friend Nail and Hardin have become close friends in such a short period. They go out together and they have also visited our home many times. Dad is very busy in his business and he has developed a strong bond with Uncle Mark. I have to study a lot as it's my final year in high school and soon I will be joining a university. I am really happy but I only miss one person, ''Jessica''. We have known each other since we were 6 and we have been together for all these years. We have shared each and everything about us with each other.

''I really miss her. I think I should give her a call''. I thought . So I grabbed my phone from the bed and dialed her number and she picked up the call. '' Hi! Bella, how are you? It's been a month since you left and you didn't even call me once. I thought that you had forgotten about me. You know what I am really angry with you''. She was talking in an unstoppable manner. ''First of all, I am fine. Secondly, you know that you are my closest friend. It's just impossible for me to forget about you. I have been really busy since the day I shifted here. There was a lot going on as we were invited to many parties and dinners and many changes were also required to be made in the house, so I had to help my mother with them. Soon after, I had to continue my studies and had to attend the college and you know what I was so busy with studies due to the assignments''. I replied. '' Anyhow, now we have to call each other regularly .Okay? She asked. '' Okay , I'll call you regularly. I called you because my family has planned a birthday party for me at the end of this month. So I'll be really happy if you'd attend my birthday''. ''Hmm, I'll talk to my parents and I'll try my best to be there''.She said.

We chatted for about an hour and I told her about everything here. After a long chat, the call dropped and I started to complete my assignments when, suddenly, I saw Hardin coming with Dylan. I was kind of surprised to see them, as Hardin told me that he would be at Nail's home and he would come back late at night. I wonder why he came back home with Dylan . Anyhow, I got busy with my work again and Hardin came into my room . '' Bella, get ready, we are going out''. Hardin said. 'Where are we going? I am a little busy with my assignments''. I asked. '' Just come on. Dylan is also waiting downstairs. We are not going forever. You can study after we come back''. He said .

I changed my clothes and went downstairs and we sat in Dylan's car and went to a party hosted by Nail. Actually, it was Nail's sister's birthday. ''Hardin, you should have told me about the birthday party as I haven't brought a gift''. I said. ''Don't worry about that, Dylan and I have already bought the gifts.So you just enjoy yourself''. Hardin replied. '' Can't you see I am also not dressed properly for the party''. I said in a low voice. '' No you are looking fine''. Hardin replied. ''If you don't believe me, ask Dylan''.''Yeah you are looking pretty ''. Dylan said.'' Okay, I'll believe you guys as I can't do anything about it now''. I said.

So I met Emily Nail's sister and wished her she was so nice and we started to chat. ''So Bella, are you interested in someone''.She asked . ''No, I am not interested in these things as my career is my top priority right now''. I replied. We chatted with each other for more than an hour and I really enjoyed her company. She asked me to meet her again and I also invited her to my birthday party. I asked Nail to bring her with him whenever he comes to our home.

After attending the party, we came back home and I was so tired that I went straight to my room and got cleaned up and fell asleep.
