A Beautiful End

It’s five years later, I’m still in love with my now, husband Ben, We have a gorgeous son,we named him Laine. Jenny has remarried to a wonderful man she met a couple of years ago, they are expecting a child in a couple of months. Travis is graduating high school next week, he’s been excepted in to Harvard Law School, he starts this fall. Tyler and Taylor are 12 years old now and happier than ever. My grandfather past away last summer, he’s been laid to rest beside my mother. I’m sure they are both looking down on us from Heaven, watching over us. My granny has moved in with Amy Beth to help out with the twins, even though she’s biologically not their grandmother, she loves them as if they are hers. Melissa and John was married a year ago, they had a baby girl they named Raelynn, Laura, is one proud grandmother, and she’s doing great. I’ve came a long way in this life, I’m not that same 17 year old girl who was scared, and didn’t know where her life was going to end up... I’m only stronger because of that life I lived. I only hope that if any child ever finds themselves in an abusive home, that someone is there for them to reach out a hand to help. You might feel like there’s no end in sight from the abuse but there’s always someone willing to help, rather it’s a stranger or your best friends, never give up hope, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.
