Chapter 14: The TV Interview
Lexi's heart raced as she sat down on the TV set. She knew that she had finally made it, and she was determined to see it through.
"Welcome, Lexi," the TV host said, his eyes locked on hers. "You have an incredible story to tell."
Lexi nodded, her heart racing with anticipation. She knew that she had finally found the evidence she needed, and she was determined to see it through.
"Thanks," Lexi said, her voice firm. "I'm ready to tell it."
The TV host smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Great. Let's start with the basics. What made you investigate Senator Parker and Maya Singh?"
Lexi took a deep breath, her mind racing with possibilities. She knew that she had to be careful, but she also knew that she had to tell the truth.
"I started investigating Senator Parker and Maya Singh because I suspected that they were involved in some shady dealings," Lexi said, her voice firm. "And as I dug deeper, I realized that my suspicions were correct."
The TV host nodded, his eyes locked on hers. "And what did you find?"
Lexi hesitated, her heart racing with anticipation. She knew that she had to be careful, but she also knew that she had to tell the truth.
"I found evidence of embezzlement, fraud, and corruption," Lexi said, her voice firm. "And I have the documents to prove it."
The TV host's eyes widened, his face pale. "That's incredible," he said. "How did you manage to get your hands on that evidence?"
Lexi smiled, her heart racing with excitement. She knew that she had finally found the ally she needed, and she was determined to see it through.
"I have my ways," Lexi said, her voice firm. "But I will say that I had help from a trusted source."
The TV host nodded, his eyes locked on hers. "And what do you think will happen next?"
Lexi hesitated, her heart racing with anticipation. She knew that she had to be careful, but she also knew that she had to tell the truth.
"I think that Senator Parker and Maya Singh will try to silence me," Lexi said, her voice firm. "But I'm not afraid of them. I have the evidence I need, and I'm determined to see it through."
The TV host nodded, his eyes locked on hers. "Well, Lexi, you're a very brave woman. And I think that you'll be safe with us."
Lexi smiled, her heart racing with excitement. She knew that she had finally found the ally she needed, and she was determined to see it through.
"Thanks," Lexi said, her voice firm. "I appreciate your support."
