  NOAH   I drove straight to Olivia’s house. I wanted to see her. I needed to talk to her. I didn’t care that her husband was back. I missed her—so much that it overrode what little reason I had left.   I stopped the car in front of her house and turned off the engine. After stepping out, I leaned against the side of the car and looked up at the windows, checking for any sign that they might already be asleep. If they were, I could call Olivia and ask her to come downstairs to see me. I knew she wouldn’t come if her husband was still awake. He would ask where she was going, and once that happened, our affair could be exposed.   My jaw clenched.
