  OLIVIA   As soon as I entered Noah’s room, my gaze went straight to the bedside table.   The necklace was still there.   Morning light streamed in through the window, and the diamonds set into the pearl pendant caught the sunlight, reflecting sharp flashes that immediately drew my attention.   I let out a quiet breath of relief.   When the nurse had called earlier, I had been worried that Noah might do something reckless again, especially knowing that the necklace had been left within his reach.
