The phone buzzed at 3:13 AM.
Unknown Number: Don't answer the door.
Maya was alone in her apartment. She stared at the message. She didn't know any "Unknown Number".
Another buzz.
Unknown Number: He's already inside.
Her blood froze. The hallway light flickered. A shadow moved under her door.
She grabbed a kitchen knife. Her hands were shaking.
Last message:
Unknown Number: Check behind you.
She turned around.
Standing there was a man with her dead brother's face. Smiling.
And his phone was the one buzzing.

The man looked exactly like her brother Daniel. Same eyes. Same smile. But Daniel died 3 years ago in a car accident.
"Daniel?" Maya whispered. Her voice was shaking.
The man didn't answer. He just raised his phone. The screen lit up his face. It was the same "Unknown Number".
Buzz.
Unknown Number: You took too long to answer.
Maya looked down at her own phone. Then back at him.
"How..." she started to ask.
The lights went out.
Complete darkness.
Then a whisper right behind her ear:
"Because I never left, sis."
Cold hands touched her shoulder.
