Chapter Two

Eva couldn't concentrate in class,her mind wandering back to the encouter with Asher. She couldn't believe that she had actually talked to him and that he seemed so nice. As the bell rang,signalling the end of class,Eva gathered her things and headed out into the hallway.
She was lost in thought when she heard a voice behind her.
"Hey Eva". She turned to see Asher behind her, a charming smile on his face.
"Hey" she replied.
"I'm glad I ran into you again" Asher said and walked in step beside her. "I just want to apologiseforTiffany's behaviour earlier, she can be a bit intense".
Eva giggled "It's okay. I'm used to being invisible".
"You're not invisible to me" Asher said smiling.
Their eyes met and she blushed a little.
Just as Eva and Asher were starting to know each other, Tiffany appeared at Asher's side,her eyes flashing with anger.
"Asher,what's going on here?" Tiffany demanded.
Asher hesitated,looking uncomfortable. "Tiffany, I was just talking to Eva".
Tiffany's gaze narrowed. "About what?"
"Just stuff" Asher replied.
Tiffany's eyes flicked to Eva,her expression emitting anger "Stay away from him" she told Eva,her voice low and menacing.
Eva felt a shiver run down her spine as Tiffany's word sinked into her brain.
"I mean it,Asher is mine,and I won'tlet anyone take him away from me"
Asher looked embarrassed,but he didn't intervene.
Eva felt a surge of anger but she kept her cool. "I'm not interested in taking anyone from you" she said calmly.
Tiffany grabbed Asher's arm and dragged him away,leaving Eva feeling shaken and intimidated
