Chapter 2Just before ten, Owen picked up the intercom and started the process of closing announcements and the exodus began. The departing crowd showed promise for the holiday season. The first few weeks after summer break had been slow. The university students, busy with their studies all week, preferring to kick off their weekend in a bar or a club.
