" What am I supposed to be doing while you are in class ? "She asked Ignacio and he rubbed his forehead lightly .

" You told thee Capobranco that you do not want to go to school anymore , and now you are here with me "Ignacio said and she sighed .

" That's the only way I could leave the house ,it's not entirely my fault "she said and Ignacio gave a nod .

" Stay here , Please don't leave "he said and she gave a nod .

" You need to get me something to keep me busy "she said and Ignacio took a deep breath in and out .

" Okay ,You're free to do anything . Just don't try to escape "he said as if reading her mind and she gave a nod .

" Have fun in class "she said and hugged him with a sweet smile on her face. Ignacio shook his head at her craziness as he walked inside .

Camila stared at his retreating figure and smirked . The Capobranco had taken custody of her work phone for weeks and it's not like he had plans of giving it to her anytime soon .

She went into the cafeteria and ordered Ice cream ,as she ate she scrolled through her phone then texted Barbara .

" Hey babe "she texted and it wasn't long before her best friend sent a bunch of emojis.

" I'm calling you on video call "Barbara texted her and the phone rang I'mmediately which she picked.

" Where the fvck are you ?" She asked curiously .

" I went out with Ignacio , he is one of the guys who work with Erduardo "Camila said and Barbara fell silent .

" I hope you are not planning to runaway. The only way you can get back to work is if you are able to get the Capobranco's consent. You can't get his consent by constantly defying him " she said and Camila sighed .

" I had plans of escaping the minute I left the estate ,but thinking of it now I'm married to a dangerous man. Who knows what he would do to me this time around ? It's not like I'm scared of him,but then the last time didn't end well "she said and Barbara laughed .

" What's funny ? "Camila asked with a frown on her face .

" Don't blame me ,I did not think I will see the day you calmly listen to Erduardo. I mean you tried to run away from your own wedding" Barbara said dramatically .

" It's not entirely my fault ,they were trying to marry me of to a pompous stranger "Camila said as she took another scoop from the creamy content .

" So he is no longer a pompous stranger ? "Barbara asked teasingly.

" I did not say he's not a pompous stranger anymore , Eddy is not that bad though..."Camila trailed and her friend gasped .

" Eddy ? Did you just call him Eddy instead of Erduardo ? I can see where this is heading " she said teasingly.

A guy from the opposite end stared at Camila for a while before walking over to her .

" I'll call you back later babe "she said and ended the call .

" Good afternoon ma'am " he said smiling and Camila raised her eyebrows with a frown on her face .

" You have been standing in front of me for quiet sometime now ,do you know how annoying that is ?" She asked and he stared at her in embarrassment.

" I did not mean to scare you babe...." he trailed and Camila stared at the man in disbelief .Did this man have a death wish or what ? Why the fvck was he calling her his baby ?

" The name is Camila "she said as she raised her hand with a forced smiled on her face . His eyes moved over to the diamond ring on her finger .

" Oh. ..."he trailed and she ignored him.

" I'm a big fan "he said and Camila smiled .

" I thought I was good at blending in "she said and he chuckled.

" I can see you are enjoying your marriage , considering the fact that you just blinded me with your ring " he said and she smiled.

" My husband and I are doing just fine " she said and the guy gave a nod .

" How about I sit with you ? "he asked and she gestured for him to sit down.

" I'm Nate by the way "he said and extended his hand and she shook hands with him .

Nate was a man with really good sense of humor . They talked about different stuffs and the guy turned out to be a funny man .She felt someone's gaze on them and turned but then ,there was no one .

" I thought it was mere rumours when the tabloids talked about you and the mystery man " Nate said and she smiled .

" I'm jealous "he said and Camila shook her head only to sight one of Erduardo's men .

" I will be right back "she said and stood up from her chair before making her way out of the cafeteria .

She froze on the spot as her eyes caught sight of Erduardo looking gorgeous as he waited for her in front of the car.

" Eddy "she said and walked over to him .

" You're here " she said and he bit his lower lip sexily then looked away.

" You were having fun with that lanky looking guy ,I figured it was best I wait than walk in there to get you myself. The last thing I want is to murder someone else because my wife doesn't listen "he said and Camila opened and closed her mouth in disbelief .

" You need to calm down ,I had no such intentions. Besides Nate is just a sweet guy. You get too jealous for my liking "she said and Erduardo chuckled.

" I don't need to get jealous , no one has the guts to temper with what's mine "Erduardo said as he opened his car door .

" Get inside "he said and she got in quietly ,the last thing she wants is to argue with Erduardo .

" How did you even find me ?"she asked and he smirked .

" Knowing just how rebellious you can be , Ignacio sent me your location I'mmediately you guys left the house . The last thing we want is you running off I'mmediately he went for his classes "Erduardo said and her cheeks heated in a blush . She actually had plans of escaping anyways .

" Where are we going to ?" She asked and Erduardo stared at her then back at the road .

" Heading to my penthouse to prepare for the ball at the De luca estate "he said and she sighed.

" Does it have anything to do with the business ?" She asked and he stared at her beautiful face .

" A lot of women are married to mafia men ,I am not going to force to get used to this life ,it's all up to you"he said and she looked out of the window .

It wasn't long before she heard a loud noise of another car trying to overtake them . Camila's heart beat crazily as he stepped on the gas.

" What's going on Erduardo ? "She asked in fear.

" We are being followed "he said and she stared at him in shock .

" Followed ? By who ! "She bursted and Erduardo bit his lower lip and she screamed in fear at his reckless driving.

" They're up to three different cars "she said as she turned just to see that the cars had increased in their numbers .

The sound of bullets flying around filled her ears . Erduardo hissed under his breath as he stared at her .

" Hey "he said and she stared at him visibly shaking .

" I'm scared Eddy "said and he stopped driving I'mmediately . Her eyes kept stealing glances trying to see if the men had gotten over to where they were .

" What if. ...they ...."she trailed and he held her face , making her eyes meet his.

" Breathe Piccolina { little one } "he said and she stared at him trying to catch her breath.

" We have to get out of this place alive and for that I need you to be brave. Can you handle the wheels ?"he asked and she stared at him in fear .

" I use to be involved in street racing ,but that was way back in highschool and...."she trailed.

" Fvck "he cursed as he set up something on his watch she stared at him pannicking .

" Don't stop driving ,when I asked you to . You're free to crash into anything that comes in your way "he said and she gave a nod as they switched positions .

" Don't be the innocent Camila, be the Capobranco's wife "he said and she found his words echoing in her ear .

Erduardo brought out his guns as he stared at the targets calmly.

He said and Camila stepped on the gas as she drove off , Erduardo shot at the other guys .

" Drive around until I tell you stop "he said and she moved cleverly. Camila stopped when he signaled her to and she noticed they had finally escaped from the men who were after them .

" Breathe ..." Erduardo said when he noticed she was panicking.

"Sh!t "he cursed under his breath as he pulled her into his arms .

" I'm here piccolina { little one }"he whispered softly and he could literally hear her heart beating crazily against her chest.

He took over the wheels and when they got to the penthouse he walked her into the house and set warm water for her to freshen up.

She walked quietly and had refused to say a word the entire night . Erduardo walked over to the bed and picked his phone.

"I got the guys on time , they were sent by Fernandez "Ignacio said on the other end.

" Send their heads back to him as warning"Erduardo said and he heard her sniff from behind as he turned.

" I'll talk to you later "he said and gestured for to walk over to him .

" We could have died "she said and he could see the fear in her eyes.

" For the first time in my life ,I was face to face with death Erduardo. .." she trailed and be bit his lower lip .

"But you didn't die . ... "he said and she let tears roll out of her eyes.

" This can't work. .."she said and he sighed .

" Don't start with me Camila. ..."he trailed trying his best not to get pissed off .

" Erduardo I don't want this ,I don't want you . You come with a lot of baggage I don't think I can put up with . I just want a normal life .."she said and his eyes flashed with hurt .

" Say that again ..."he said taking steps towards her ,too close she couldn't breathe.

" Say that again piccolina .."he said as their breathes met in the middle .
