Cuco’s pov; I began to assess everyone and everything. The guards were colder and that meant that orders had come down directly. Probably from Maldini. He was the only one I could think of. The charges alone would bury me. Drugs, assault and homicide. The dead man was the weapon against me and Maldini was holding the trigger. He most probably didn’t want me convicted, he wanted me dead.
