That was not him.
I knew that was not Micah.
That was just a nightmare.
My Micah would never do that. As I directed my eyes to him, I could see Micah was slightly surprised. Maybe he never thought that he would come into my dream not as a savior but as a villain.
I was hoping Micah would say something. Tell me that was just a dream which he already did but I was not convinced. Tell me I was crazy. Anything but Micah didn’t give me any of that. He kept staring at me.
“You killed that man,” I repeated the words but he didn’t react. “You killed him, Micah.”
“I heard you, Venus.” But his tone was already different. His eyes were emotionless. His face was flat.
“Say something.”
“What do you want me to say?”
“Tell me I was just dreaming.”
