Chapter 7

Pov Ava

I've been looking for the guardian for 3 days now and it seems like he's nowhere to be found but at least the deer is still with me and he's with me everywhere and his wound will soon be healed as usual we walk in the forest looking for berries but we come across wolves and they surround us

Ava: ( What am I going to do now they surrounds us )

I try to fight the wolves but one of them comes straight at the deer and I decide to get between the wolf and the deer but the wolf still manages to hurt my arm I look at the deer and see that he's ok then it comes towards me

Pov Louise

Louise: We have to help her, we can't just leave her there

Grandma: Don't worry everything will be fine and just sit back and watch what happens

Pov Ava

We're still surrounded by wolves and I can't attack because I'm afraid they'll kill the deer if I attack them and after the last attack I got my arm is still bleeding and then all of a sudden the guardian appears and the wolves take advantage of that moment to run away

Ava: After all this time I finally found you

Guardian: You're okay

Ava: You can talk, it's really amazing

Caretaker: It's not that unbelievable, show me your arm

Ava: Don't worry about it healing itself

I show the guard my arm

I go to the deer and see that he is ok and take him in my arms

Ava:( No I can't leave until I'm his friend so I have to make an excuse)

Gardian: You better go back to the house your arm is hurt and it could get even worse

The gardian leaves but me and the deer keep following him for hours and then the gardian decides to stop for a while

Guardian: How much longer are you going to follow me, you'll be following me for hours

Ava: We'll follow you as long as it takes (at least until he becomes my friend)

Guardian: Well, since you seem so motivated to follow me, I'll take you to my lair.

Ava: Yes, great.

We follow the guardian to his lair and go to a big tent and a fire

I don't answer his question and go deep into the forest then I go to the river from last time to fish and I catch a lot of fish then I go back to the gardian

Ava: Don't say that anyway, I told you I won't leave until the deer is healed.

I go to the fire and then cook all the fish I caught and give it to the deer and eat it too I notice the guardian is away

Ava: Hey, you come and eat fish with us too, it's delicious

Guardian: No thanks, I don't want any. " His stomach starts to rumble."

Ava: Are you sure you don't want any?" I ask him with an amused look.

Guardian: I do want some after all.

He takes some fish from me and eats them in embarrassment, which makes me laugh

Gardian: Please come over here

I go up to him and he puts an ointment on my arm and then puts a bandage on my arm

Ava: Thank you, that's really nice of you

Guardian: I'm not going to let you die without doing anything

Ava: Don't worry I wasn't going to die anyway

Guardian: The wolves that attacked you earlier, well, there was venom in their fangs.

Ava: What?" I said surprised."

Guardian: Yes, it's true

Ava: (I could have died so stupidly) "I lay down on the floor and a ghost came out of my mouth"

Guardian:( This girl is strange usually wolf prey die right after being bitten but she doidn't it's strange)

I get up and then go to the deer and pet it

Guardian: I have a question for you Ava

Ava: Yes tell me

Guardian: You could have defeated the wolves from before easily so I wanted to know why you didn't

Ava: I was afraid that while I was fighting them, they would attack the deer and kill it.

Guardian: So you were more worried about the deer's life than your own?

Ava: Not really, I just think the deer is important and deserves to live, I found it injured so I wouldn't give it up

Ava: Oh well thank you now, I'm going to go to sleep, see you tomorrow.

I fell asleep in the guardian's tent and then the morning came quickly and I woke up and greeted the guardian and the deer

Guardian: Today you will follow me too

Ava: Of course I will, I have nothing else to do anyway

Guardian: I have a feeling I'll have a long day today

Pov Louise

Grandma: She's doing great you see I told you so

Louise: Yes you're not wrong but at the moment they're still not friends

Grandma: It seems to me that it took you 3 weeks to get there

Louise: Yes, but you have to admit that the guardian is really lonely and doesn't like company.

Flash back Louise

Guardian: Leave me alone you've been following me around for weeks

Pov Ava

I still follow the guardian and at the same time it allows me to know what he does every day and well he protects the animals and apart from that he takes naps every hour he's really lazy

Ava: Wake up, stop sleeping" I shake him around"

Guardian: You're annoying at the end let me sleep in peace

Ava: No I'm bored and I have nothing else to do so I'm talking to you

Guardian: You sleep too, you'll see that it's the best thing to do when you're bored

Ava: I'm not sleepy and who's to say you won't run away while I'm sleeping

Keeper:( This girl is really perceptive but strangely I feel like staying with her ,it's really strange)

Suddenly there is a gunshot, it must have come from below and the guard rushes down as fast as he can and I do the same arriving at the place where the gunshot came from we see two armed men attacking a herd of deer

Ava: We have to go and help the deer, we can't leave them like that

The guardian goes back to his normal giant wolf form then he attacks them and I follow him but I go to see if the deer are ok and luckily none of them are hurt then the guardian wounds one of the two men but the second one shoots the guardian and wounds him I use my magic to move faster and immobilize the man who still has his gun in his hand

Ava: Are you all right the guardian

Guardian: Yes thank you for your help

We tie up the two men and then the guardian takes them all downstairs and comes back to us.

Guardian: Are the deer ok?

Ava: Yes, none of them are hurt.

Guardian: Whew what a relief I thought I was going to be too late

The deer that was with Ava for a few days is joining the other deer and he seems to be happy

Ava: Well I think it's time I let the deer go, I have a feeling he found his family.

Guardian: Yeah, I think so too.

The deer comes to me for one last look then I give him a hug and he leaves to join the other deer

Guardian: You're okay Ava

Ava: Yes of course I don't know why you say that "I have tears in my eyes".

Guardian: Well you're crying don't worry he'll be happy with his family

Ava: Yes I know I will miss him

Caretaker: Come on wipe your tears you are my friend now too

Ava: Yes you are my friend but you will never be like the deer

Guardian: Please shut up

"He hits me in the head"

Ava: Ouch you hurt me you know wait I will fix you

Ava: Wait a minute

I take a piece of the bandage he gave me and use it on his wound

Ava: Now we match.

Guardian: ( It's adorable that I finally take back everything I said about that girl )

Ava: Why are you looking at me like that?

Guardian: No don't worry come on I'll take you back to the top" he smiles

Ava: Can I ride on your back" I say in a childish voice."

Guardian: Why not?

I get on his back and he takes me back to the house where Louise and Grandma are and then when I get there he puts me down

Grandma: Well, I'd say you managed to make friends with him

Ava: It was complicated but I managed

Guardian: Well, I'm leaving, I have to watch the animals, I was just dropping her off

Louise: Yes, see you maybe next time

"The guardian leaves"

Ava: So now what's next in the training

Grandma: For the next step, you have to put your fangs away
