Emerald's POV
(Two days later)
Hand in hand, Alex and I stood in front of Lorie's house. It's the night of the party that Alex and Amari were talking about.
When I sneaked out of the house, Amari wasn't in her room so I'm guessing she's already inside or at one of her friend's house.
I stared at the door while nervously playing with the hem of my dress.
I took deep breaths.
This is the first time I'm going out for a party in my life. It's also the first time I'm sneaking out of the house so I guess it's normal for me to feel nervous.
What if something bad happens?
What if Sarah wants me to do something for her in the middle of the night?
It's not unlike her to call me at odd hours in the morning or at night. She does it a lot.
