My body felt like it had been through a battlefield. Well, technically, it actually has. I've been beaten and tortured for what has felt like years. I don't even know how long I've been here. It seems like I've been here for an eternity. I haven't seen the sunlight or any type of light in what has felt like forever. Every inch of me ached, a constant reminder of the torture I had endured for a crime I did not commit. The deep cuts, bruises, and burns etched into my skin were proof of the cruelty of the guards. They seemed to enjoy my pain. The physical pain I felt was nothing compared to the emotional torment that gnawed at my spirit. Where is Alex? Tears fill my eyes any time I think about him. Every single time I'm tortured, I call out his name. The guards always laugh at me
