Emerald's POV
"Here you go" I said to the couple seated as I dropped their cups of coffee on their table.
They smiled at me "Thank you"
I smiled back at them "You're welcome"
After I was done, I went back to the counter to continue working.
We had a busy day at the coffee shop today. Customers have been rolling in for hours.
More customers means more tips and over time for working extra hours. It's stressful as hell but it's worth it.
I sorted out some of the things that needed to be arranged behind the counter.
I hummed as I continued my work.
From my side, I could see Bennie look at me with a smile.
I turned to her in confusion "What is it?"
"Nothing" she shrugged "You seem happy. It looks good on you. I've never seen you like this before"
