“She’s not answering her phone.” Mike sounded frantic hanging up his phone when he got Destiny’s voicemail again.
“Dude, calm down. She could still be sleeping or even at work already and can’t check her phone. Be rational.” Liam tried placating.
“f**k rational. The guy who attacked us escaped before he could go to jail. The same mugger who tried running Destiny over yesterday. He’s going to try again. I can feel it.” He raked his fingers through his hair feeling helpless. Destiny was out there somewhere with a killer after her and he didn’t know where she was.
“I called onto base and spoke to her supervisor, she hasn’t checked in.” Sam informed him. That was one last place to check.
“I checked in at the hospital she hasn’t been seen there but mother is.” Carter piped in.
