“It’s a female sheep, sir.” Charlie stepped right up into her face, only this time, Cam saw a twinkle of humor in his eyes. “No, Ms. Andrews,” he said slyly, “it’s a personal pronoun. How do you feel?” Cam lay back on the couch in the living room, watching the ceiling fan make its slow revolutions above her. “Maggie, I’ve never felt like this before. I’m sore but I’m happy. I’m sad but I’m excited. I want to get back and get started but I don’t want this to end.” “Charlie seems pleased. Has he spoken to you?” Cam smiled. “Yes. We had a good talk today.
