Chapter 24Gina sat in the cell, curled up on the very back edge of the bunk. She hugged herself and gathered her sweater and jacket tightly around her but she still couldn’t stop shivering. Damn! She was cold. She was sweating but she was shaking and couldn’t feel any heat. She gathered her blanket around her. “You need some help, little one?” Lou stood in the cell doorway. Gina looked at her and burst into tears. “Come on out of there where I can reach you.” Lou held her arms out to offer help as Gina crawled out of the cell. Lou pulled her into her arms.
