Chapter 28Cameron leaned on the railing of the back porch that looked out over one of the many fingers of Chesapeake Bay. Maggie’s new summer house, which she’d purchased in March, had been built three decades earlier. She’d had it refurbished and landscaped to give her a bit of privacy. The house sat on the east side of the small inlet that ran off the main part of the bay. It was about an hour south of Baltimore, facing west over the water, thus getting the advantage of the late afternoon sun and later evening shadows. Now, wider windows facing the water allowed for the side windows to be draped without losing light.
