Chapter 9

Aaron’s POV

Hunter was sprinting through the trees to get to Danielle as fast as he could. I’ve never seen him move this graceful and quick. We arrived to the Pack hospital in no longer than 3 minutes tops. I shifted and threw my clothes on as quickly as I could. Once, I was fully clothed I sprinted inside to see my Beta telling Conner to back the h**l up or there would be trouble. A growl escaped me when I seen him the one that hurt my love, the one that put her in this hospital unconscious, the one that lied about the whole ordeal to keep up his reputation. I was outraged just seeing him standing there trying to see her. Why did he want to see her to finish what he tried to start? Then I realized he had flowers in his hand. He turned and looked at me with disgust. He turned back to my Beta and told him,

“Here I was only trying to bring her these flowers. Take them to her they are her favorite.” Another growl came out because another man actually had the b*lls to try to bring my beautiful mate flowers regardless of anything else. He turned on his heel, and headed straight out of the door. I was heading to Danielle’s room when Samuel stop me.

“Alpha Aaron, May we have a word.” I sighed knowing I only wanted to see Danielle, however I knew I needed to speak to her parents there was no doubt their son already told them about what I said to Alpha Dylan earlier. I nodded my head, and he lead the way. We went to a conference room; he turned to shut the door and lock it. We both took a seat at the table across from each other when he began to speak.

“Alpha, Is what my son said true? Conner told them you did this to my daughter.”

“No sir, I already love Danielle truly. I found her unconscious in her bedroom.”

“So that much have been the howl I heard throughout the pack.” He said out loud, but it wasn’t in a question it was more like he was trying to piece together the puzzle.

“Sir, the howl?” He simply nodded.

“Alpha, I’m sure you didn’t realize it at the time, however you and your wolf howled so loud and powerful you connected with every wolf in this pack. We all felt the pain and agony you felt in that very moment even through my sound proof house.” I was in shock I remember howling in pain, however I didn’t realize what I had done or it was even possible.

“Alpha Aaron, I do not believe you did this. The amount of pain in your howl yesterday tells me everything I need to know. I was told you want to take my daughter to your pack?”

“Yes sir, I cannot imagine leavi—“

“Alpha, please you have my full permission to take her. She never really belonged here anyway; the Past and now Alphas believe she is a disgrace of our kind, because she never got her wolf. I’m sure she’ll be much safer in your pack than staying here. However, if you don’t mind Ruth and myself would like to tell her goodbye before she leaves, also if she wakes up while in your pack we ask for your blessing for us to come see her?”

“Samuel, please call me Aaron. Yes, you will always be welcome in my pack as long as no harm Physically, Emotionally, or Mentally come to Danielle while your stay is there. I only want the best for her; I just pray she pulls through this so I can give her the life she truly desires.”

“Al—Umm. Aaron, take it from me Danielle has more fight in her than I have seen in all my entire life. I have never seen so much inner strength from a human, wolf, or any other magical creature she can and she will pull through this.” I shook my head praying he was correct. He stood from his seat; I followed in his lead. Samuel reached out and shook my hand that we both understood what the next few days would consist of. Samuel walked out of the room leaving me alone to my thoughts. This is not the way Danielle described her parents to me could there be something more going on? More than she even realizes? I headed back to her room when I got near the door I saw my Beta still standing there with the bouquet of flowers.

“Alpha what do I do with these?”

“Throw them out immediately!” I said he turned to head to the garbage.

“Actually Beta wait.” He turned and looked at me in shock.

“Those are some beautiful flowers why don’t you give them to someone else that is hurt or sick; who knows it may make their day a bit better.” He smiles and nods to go to the next room. Where he finds a woman about to give birth to a pup. The dad is running around frantic asking her what he can do to make this process better for her; when my beta caught his eye from the door. He waved him over. Quickly he stepped out side the door.

“Sir, My Alpha told me to deliver this to you, and your wife. They are not needed in our room due to limited space.” He man smiled and thanked him. My beta watched him for a minute more when the mother saw the flowers she was overjoyed at her mate; you could honestly tell how much they were in love. He turned to me.

“Okay, you may take a while off; I am with her now and will mind link you if I need you.”

“Yes sir.” He said quickly and walked away. I turned, and went into Danielle’s room where I continued prayed over her, and slept next to her until my dads plan could be in motion.

*The next day*

It was about noon, Dr. Dennis just brought me lunch and checked on Danielle’s vitals when I heard a commotion coming from outside. I got up, and walked out the door to find they were already here. I almost jumped with joy; they got here so quickly. One of the Elders and my top pack doctor was coming up to me.

“Alpha Aaron it’s good to see you again; I’m sorry it had to be under these circumstances.” Elder Bret said. He was the top ranked doctor in the entire werewolf community. My grandfather, and Bret was best friends growing up. My grandfather wanted Bret to become his Beta, however the Moon Goddess blessed him with some healing properties. No one knows how he does it, however he can heal a injured werewolf in hours. Dr. Dennis comes almost sprinting up to us to meet Elder Bret.

“Elder Bret it is such an honor to be in your presence. What can I do for you?”

“I’m here to look at Alpha Aaron’s mate.” He says.

“Come, I’ve done everything I possibly can to stabilize her, and unfortunately she doesn’t seem to be making much progress.” We all walked in the room. There was a look of sorrow passed through his, and my top pack doctors eyes.

“Doctors, if I may have a moment with Alpha Aaron and his mate alone.” They both nodded and exited the room.

“Aaron, I will do all I can however I don’t know if she will pull through this. Even I can sense she is fading.” Tears immediately came to the forefront of my eyes all I could do was nod in understanding.

“Okay, I would like you to hold her hand, and I am going to grab her other hand close your eyes and reload much as you can. I will do all the rest.” I do exactly as he says I try to relax as much as possible, but as soon as I felt myself relax there was a blast through the room. I’ve never witnessed Elder Brets power before, but I don’t think this was apart of his plan. He looked at me in total shock.

“There’s nothing I can do. The Moon Goddess is with her; she is deciding her fate now. All we can do is wait.” He said in complete shock.

“Can she travel? I just need to get her back to my pack. She cannot stay here with the constant threat hanging over her head.”

“I believe I can do a little amount every so often to keep her stable on the plane back to Grey Sea Pack. Aaron do know this will be a risk to do this, however I think it can be done.”

“I’ll order us to leave tonight at 8 pm then. Be sure to rest up Bret. Thank you very much for being here for me.” He came up to me and gave me a grandfather like hug.

“Your grandfather would never let me live with myself in the afterlife if I wouldn’t have. Now, I know we have much to talk about, but I am going to prepare myself for hours ahead.” He left the room without another word I mind linked my Beta and Gamma to both get down here immediately. Within a few minutes they were knocking on the door.

“Okay, we are leaving tonight at 8 heading home. I need both of you to be on high alert for the next 7 hrs. No one comes into this room except her family. That is an order! I am going to inform Alpha Dylan, and her parents that we are leaving at 8 pm tonight. After I’m done packing and telling everyone of our plans, I will come and release you both to go pack and prepare for our flight back home.”

“Yes Alpha!” They both said. I walked toward Danielle’s house to talk to her parents; I heard whispers from a group of girls.

“Ughhhh, I cannot believe the Moon Goddess gave that snobby nose book worm to that incredibly handsome Alpha. I mean who does she think she is the Crowning Ceremony was my only chance to woah him, and convince him he needed me. Then, here she goes and ruins everything! I mean he hasn’t even left her room the last few nights; I’ve been waiting for him at his door every single night!”

“Jessica, What about Ryan?”

“What about him? He was just a good time! I deserve the world and all he can give me is a piece of it. Ughhhhh!” I shook my head to this ridiculous conversation, and continued walking. Yeah, she was pretty. Hunter immediately piped in,

“But she is NOTHING compared to our mate!” I smirked thinking about how proud he was of her already.

“That you are right 1000 percent Hunter.” He nodded in the back of my mind thinking on how beautiful she looked the night of the ceremony she didn’t doll herself up like every other she wolf she went natural with a beautiful red dress that complemented her frame perfectly. Before I realized it I arrived at Samuel, and Ruth’s house. I knocked on the door, and Ruth opened it up. Her eyes were red and her face was pale; you can tell she had been barley sleeping and crying throughout the night.

“Hello, Mrs. Ruth may I come inside I have a few things to speak to you both about.” She led me inside and directed me to the living room.

“Alpha, would you like some tea or coffee?”

“No ma’am thank you.”

“Okay let me go get Samuel; I’ll be right back.” Within a few minutes, Ruth and Samuel came from upstairs. Samuel came to shake my hand.

“Sir, Ma’am Danielle, Elder Bret, My Beta, Gamma and highest pack doctor, and I will be leaving tonight at 8pm. I wanted to inform you all first so you can go visit, and take your time saying your Goodbyes before we left. My Beta and Gamma are both on guard at her room. They will let you in, however there was a incident yesterday right before we talked, Samuel. Conner tried to visit her while I was out; he must have thought she was alone. I doubled the security for that reason.” Ruth started sobbing; Samuel put his arm around her to comfort her.

“I know you have the best here to make her trip successful. Thank you Alpha; everything you are doing is showing you mean no harm to our daughter. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.” He reached out to shake my hand again. I said my final goodbyes to them and left for the castle. When I see Alpha Dylan; he was going to be a different story. I couldn’t wait for tonight, so we can be out of this pack. Then and only then Danielle can be truly safe. I walk into the castle, and see Alpha Dylan flirting with quite a few she wolfs.

“Alpha Dylan, can we speak in private?” I say curt. He nodded and his eyes glanced over to mind link someone. My guess was confirmed when Beta Mason walked up.

“This way please.” He led both of us to the office opened and shut the door immediately locking it after we walked in.

“What can I do for you Alpha Aaron?”

“We are leaving tonight. We as in Danielle, my pack members, Elder Bret, and myself.” His face was priceless when he knew, I had Elder Bret already on my side.

“You still cannot take Danielle is she apart of this pack.” He said quickly trying to come up with anything to keep her here for some reason.

“Yes I can, Alpha Dylan, and I already have it okayed from Elder Bret we can bring him into this conversation if you so choose.” I could tell he started to get mad from the amount of redness that rushed to his face.

“There is no need in bring a Elder into this. You cannot take her she is a member of this pack. Also she is not stable enough to travel!” He slapped his hand on the office table.

“Alpha Dylan, I see you are getting irritated, however I already have informed her parents she is coming with me. Elder Bret and my highest pack doctor is here resting now to get ready for tonight. We will be leaving at 8 pm.” Dylan’s wolf was on the edge, and he was pissed. I simply turned on my heel, and saw Beta Mason’s face it was filled with anger also. Why they wanted to keep her here I will never understand. I walked to the guest room, and quickly packed my clothes. As I was leaving the room the blonde haired she wolf stopped me.

“Alpha, you look stressed. I can help you with that.” I was disgusted by her coming on to me just for s****l reasons.

“As you well know, I have a mate now get away from me.” I said as I pushed her aside.

“You call her your mate? She’s not even a wolf; she cannot carry an Alpha baby! She. Is. A. FILTHY. HUMAN!!” I turned and grabbed her by the neck. Hunter was ready to rip her apart.

“Talk about my mate again I will kill you.” I said without even batting an eye. Her face turned to one of horror. My guess is no one has ever said no to her, and certainly never threatened her. I dropped her, and continued my walk to the pack hospital. Tonight could not come soon enough.

By the time I arrived back to the pack hospital it was 6 pm.

“Beta, Gamma you two are relieved to go pack make it swift, as soon as you both get done we are leaving.”

“Yes Alpha.” Thankfully they finished packing and got ready to leave with still 30 minutes to spare. Elder Bret came in the room around 7:15 letting me know when I’m ready he’s ready. I mind linked my Pack Doctor letting him know we are leaving early. Within minutes he was at the pack hospital too ready to go. Dr. Dennis came and told us all good byes, and what a pleasure it was for him to meet Elder Bret. Gamma and my pack doctor pulled to the front of the pack hospital we loaded Danielle up, and my pack was already in the SUVS when Alpha Dylan and Beta Mason came running outside the castle.

“I command you all to STOP!” He said with anger seeping in his voice. Elder Bret and I looked at each other in amusement.

“Alpha you cannot command either of us. You do understand I am a Elder.” Elder Bret said with humor in his voice.

“You cannot take her! She is ours! She is our member! I forbid you to take her!” He said sounding like a complete child.

“Alpha Dylan, I suggest you go back to your castle. You cannot forbid me from doing anything. If you decide to keep this attitude up; I will inform the rest of the Elder council of this childish behavior. I suggest you move, and let us go before you make a costly mistake.” All humor was gone now; he was now getting irritated at Alpha Dylan’s childish behavior.

“Elder Bret, you cannot take her she—“

“ENOUGH! I told you to stop speaking! Now I command you to move out of our damn way before I make you move out of our way! I will be speaking to the Elders about this!” He was clearly pissed at the fact Alpha Dylan was still trying to argue with him, and basically being completely disrespectful. Alpha Dylan finally did the smart move, and stepped aside; like he could resist a Elders command anyway. He was a lower level if not the lowest level Alpha I’ve ever known. We both climbed in our SUVs and left the pack. Finally, we made it to my private jet which was already fueled and waiting for us. We all pitched a hand to get her inside the jet safely. Two of us could have done it simple enough, however none of us wanted to trip and drop her by accident. Once she was safely strapped in; each of us grabbed our seats. I let the pilot know we was ready for take off; once we got to cruising speed Elder Bret and my pack doctor had their work cut out for them over the next few hours. I just sit back, and prayed to the Moon Goddess for the millionth time to save my love.
