Once showered and wearing fresh comfortable clothes ready for a movie marathon and at least an hour long gush over Damian that Bella knew she was coming. She put out the ice-cream and cheese cake as the lock on her door clicked. In walked Jane practically glowing. Jane put her hand out dramatically and a sparkling diamond ring glittered on her finger. Momentarily stunned Bella screamed a chorus of “congratulations! Wait when did this happen? How come you didn’t tell me til now?”
Jane bursting began her story of how she woke up to Mark brushing her hair out of her face whispering how beautiful she was. He had then gotten up and brought over the breakfast tray. “It was my favourite. Jenna gushed; “I couldn’t believe he would go through that trouble even with his wicked hangover. Then I saw it, the ring was placed inside my teacup. It was soo cute! I practically jumped on him. Then I called mum, Douggy and then you!”
“Wow! I can’t believe your getting married!” Bella squealed and they both broke out in high pitched squeals and laughter.
Soon both the girls were snuggled up into their chill out robes, watching Vampire diaries and eating the ice cream.

Bella embraced Jane for the last time that night, waving from her door as she pulled out on to the road in her little blue Mazda. She closed and locked the door behind her. Retreating back into the lounge room she decided to put away the half eaten food and leave the rest to clean in the morning. Bella walked up the stairs turning the lights off on her way up to her room. Feeling exhausted Bella lay down on her bed and closed her eyes…
Then it came like a Demond in the night. The icy blue eyes and those cold hands reached out and grabbed her soul pulling Bella from her slumber. Shaking in a cold sweat Bella stumbled to turn on the light. Illuminating her small room. Her door was wide open and a cold draft was blowing in making her grab her blankets tighter. In her confused fuzzy state she pulled on her fluffy dressing gown and grabbed her laptop and phone and made her way down the stairs.
Bella set her laptop down on the coffee table and rested her phone on the arm chair. Her heart was thumping as she felt eyes digging into her back. Every time she looked over her shoulder to find the invisible eyes they were gone. If she closed her eyes how ever she could see them clear as day. Cold and calculating, searching for her in unrelenting torment.
Bella shifted on the couch to find some kind of comfort. She put on her favourite TV show F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Into the second episode Bella felt her eyes begin to grow heavy and her heart was back to beating its normal rhythm. Bella drifted into her world of flying… Far, far away.
Bella awoke to a strange sensation her back felt warm and her left ear felt cool. Taking a moment to orient herself Bella felt near her ear and found her hair was super short. (Pixie cut, short). Bella immediately sat up and a stinging spread from her lower back up to her shoulders. Looking into the mirror leaning against the wall Bella could see four red bloody strips going down her back. In shock a very pale Bella whimpered as she moved into the bathroom taking a hand towel she soaked it in water and tried to wash away the dried blood. Using the mirror as her guide. Bella gritted her teeth in pan and began to sob. The pain was sharp and confusion overwhelmed Bella’s mind. How did this happen? What could cause this pain?
Bella threw the hand towel in the sink and stripped off and attempted to wash her back in the shower. Bella carefully tried to dry her back. The pain was too much So Bella decided to go straight to the hospital. The quick journey in the car wasn’t at all comfortable as Bella couldn’t touch her back and the seatbelt was rubbing against the mark. Once Bella arrived she went straight into the emergency department. The lady at the desk greeted her with a small smile. Her grey eyes peering over the half glass; glasses. She politely asked Bella her name, birth date and address and then asked what the problem was?
Bella shifted in her loose dress trying she show a small part of the mark on her shoulder and explained how it was going down her back and how it was causing excruciating pain. The lady looked mortified as Bella didn’t realise it but the mark had gone from deep red to a purplish, green colour and was turning the skin around it yellow. A nurse was called in immediately and Bella was put on a bed with a morphine drip.
