It's been about a month and a half since her 18th birthday, and three weeks since she ran away that night from Rosco. UGH why do I have to be such a chicken when it comes to men. Well, can you just call him a man, when Rosco Boulderdash is SO much more than that? Attractive, alluring, c*cky, mysterious, charming, a gentleman, caring, but above all - dangerous!
It's been three whole, long weeks since she's seen his smile or heard his voice, but that's not on me. I initiated contact the other two times, or did I? Can you count meeting a person for the first time, then stumbling into the same bar weeks later as initiating contact? So many unanswered questions swirling around. He knows where I live, if he truly wanted me, he'd come knocking.
Rosco's POV
It's been three weeks since I last kissed those succulent lips attached to that naive little woman. Parked behind the tree, I can see her house, well little log cabin in the d*mn woods.
I've been staking out her house ever since that first night when I dropped her off, watching her walk to and from that f*cking bus stop near about kills me! I haven't dared make a move yet though, I mean I'm entangled with some pretty sh*tty people, showing weakness isn't wise when your the `king-pin`.
I've noticed a pattern with her, on days she doesn't go to work, she doesn't leave the house - at least not that I can tell. It's nearing 9am which is about a half hour past her departure time for work. Begrudgingly I decide to leave, why spend my time staring at a cabin when there is nothing that's going to happen here today, besides Craig and Jerry have been blowing up my phone. I swear they can't to jack without me.
Throwing the car into drive, beginning to pull away, I instantly slam the brakes. Out comes that oh-so-familiar brunette beauty, bouncing down her driveway, d*mn what's making her so d*mn happy today? It sure as h*ll isn't me. Well, looks like my plans just changed, f*ck Craig and Jerry, they can handle whatever it is on their own!
Brittany -
I'm sick and tired of sitting home, that is all I ever do on my days off, well that and wander through the fields. My house is full of daisy's at this point though, might as well stir up some trouble.
I rummage through my closet, unimpressed by the options until I find the diamond in the rough, a buttercup yellow sun dress with criss-cross back straps and a woven pattern down the sides.
It's just low cut enough to accentuate my curved without being over the top. Slipping on my sandles I opt for my brown ones that match my chestnut hair, I've decided to wear my hair down today with beach waves in an attempt to look classy yet casual, who knew this whole outfit only cost me $7, goodwill to the rescue. I swear I'd be lost without them!
Looking good has be in an unusually happy mood, skipping down the creekstone path I had refinished last year, I feel on top of the world. I have a mission in mind, whether I'm willing to execute it though, is a whole different story.
As I near the tree line I spot a familiar car hidden down the road a bit, I probably wouldn't have even spotted it had the driver not slammed the brakes in an attempt to stay hidden away.
A newfound smile spreads across my face, "oh this is going to be way easier than I thought" Britt muses. Pretending she never saw the vehicle, she continues on down the path headed towards town.
Every quarter mile or so she notices the car inch forward, deciding to screw with him she dashes into the wooded area near the side of the road and waits patiently. Sure enough the car comes crawling forward searching for her, slowly inch by inch it creeps forward until it's just about to pass by. Seeing this as her opportunity, she walks nonchalantly out to the roadside.
Caught in the act, the stalking act that is, Rosco pulls over and slowly lowers the passenger window.
"Hey little lady I'm looking for the main rd., it's got to be around here somewhere, would you be willing to jump in and guide me?"
Laughter comes bubbling out of her, grabbing at her sides and making walrus noises at the sheer innocence on his face.
"Uh, don't think so, I don't ride with strangers, ya know stranger danger and all that" comes her broken reply between bouts of laughter.
Stepping out of his car, he comes around to open the passenger door for Brittany to climb into.
Smiling she waits for Rosco to come back around, feeling rather playful, she remarks "and here I was thinking you had been out here the whole time, lost and hungry."
"I'm only lost without you, and hungry for you" came his quick reply, a sly smile forming on his face. Both laughing now, Rosco proceeds to drive down that old familiar dirt path that leads to the city, with plans already forming in his mind.
