Logan
One month later, Deidra had finally come back to the office after taking a few weeks off. She had Lillian screen all my calls, and at one point wouldn’t allow me in her office. She was being childish, but I eventually wore her down, and now we were sitting at dinner with my parents, and once we had a long talk, she agreed to work things out.
I’d had food catered, and we sat in the dining room of my penthouse. The low hum of Beethoven played in the background.
“Deidra, I hear you’ve forgiven my son’s bad behavior,” my mom said.
During our talk, I told Deidra what had actually happened that night with Olivia and advised her that I had removed her from my client list. She was still with the firm, but another partner handled her now.
“It didn’t happen overnight,” Deidra
