CHAPTER 16

“It’s a free country, and I’m here with my mom for dinner. Now, why are you here with him?” I point, keeping my hands in my pockets to keep from punching him in the face. He sits across from Savannah with a smirk on his face as she glares at me. I’ve already told Julien I want him off the project, and he didn’t think it was that big of a deal. I’ve reminded him that I don’t need his business, and this is a mutual business deal, but that per the terms of our contract I can walk at any time if I feel disrespected.
“Tell her I said hello, but you have no say when it comes to me anymore,” Savannah answers.
“Savannah.”
Richard clears his throat, grasps her hand, and I lose it. I reach over and grip him firmly by the neck, while everyone in the restaurant gasps in shock.
