27 Kunny Kunny sat in tears for what she felt was the thousandth time in just a few days. A member of US Embassy staff had dropped off Dave’s laptop and notebooks 20 minutes before. She had made herself a pot of green tea and told her staff not to disturb her for the next hour or two. She had been prepared for a hard task lying ahead, but she had only just booted up the laptop and the desktop display had come on, a family picture of Dave, Helen and Caitlyn, taken on a beach somewhere in England she guessed, picnic blanket spread out under them, and looks of love and adoration on the two adults faces as they smiled at the camera while holding their baby. Kunny had no idea who had taken the picture, perhaps a passing stranger who had gotten a tiny glimpse into the life of a perfect family
