28 Zed Zed had awoken with the throbbing headache that was the karmic balance for a night of methamphetamine abuse. He could vaguely recall a final pipe at around 4am or so and programming a playlist on his computer. But he had no idea what time the rocky comedown had claimed him and thrust him into a fitful sleep. He doubted he would have even slept if it hadn’t been for the fatigue of overwork of the last week stacking up in a holding pattern like some overtaxed airport. He looked across at his wall clock and was shocked to see it was only 9.20am. He would pay for this abuse of mind and body at some point in the very near future, of that there was no doubt.
