The atmosphere in the chopper was tense as they made their way across the Mekong towards the first location. It was always the same in the final minutes before a mission, each squad member reflecting on their role and offering silent prayers that they and their comrades would emerge from the mission unscathed. Dara was looking at the data Chamreun had sent him and formulating a plan.
“We’re going to land at this point here, about 100 metres south of the target location. Mao, I want you to cover us from the chopper. No arguments, I know it was only a flesh wound but you’re still carrying an injury. Keot, I want you to take the right flank, and Sarin take the left flank.
