Over the following days, the Kingdom and the world reacted in shock and horror as the full extent of the awful crimes perpetrated by Halim and his network was exposed in the press. After several days’ ‘questioning’ by a recovering Chamreun, Boran was transferred to Prey Sar prison to await trial. Two days after arriving there, his cell door was left open by mistake and he was found dead the next morning, with over 70 stab wounds and other injuries, some of which were testament to the fact that the assailants knew the details of his crimes.
